i was thinking we should start a thread about profile of applicants ready for 2008 cycle am posting my stats ...hope u guys will contribute..........


NBDE part 1 : 91
TOEFL ibt : 111
GPA (ece) : it reads 2.47 on my course by course sheet then says if
we consider ur reappear marks its 2.7😕
so dont know if 2.47 or 2.7

OTHER
qualifications : Postgraduation home country (India)
or
experience


PUBLICATION : 1 international publication in indexed journal


SCHOOLS APPLYING TO :

NYU ( dont know if with my low gpa have any chance still 😉

UPENN ( relying on there unpredictable approach and hoping they like my application😀 )
but there application is not available for 2008 😡

UCSF ( read somewhere in SDN that there part1 cut-off this year is 950, still applying
JAI MATA DI )

MICHIGAN ( dont know much abt it,)

MINNESOTA ( faqs on their site are so clear dont know wat they want 😛 )

Gpa(ECE)-3.56
Experience-3.5 yrs in India,4 months observation in US.
Schools planning to apply:

Someone I know who got into Umich this yr..joined a community dental clinic as a volunteer dental assistant.She practised tooth prepns over there for all her exams.U can prbly try that too..jus a suggestion.

hi...am sending my certificates to ece. i have 65% overall in bds. wat gpa i can expect?
do they consider only marks or even the experience too for gpa?

i have only my marks sheets with me right now. though i worked for a clinic in india for an year, i didnt take the experience letter.
