So I'm a MS4 who is currently finishing up my ERAS applications for Rad-Onc this year. Other students that I know who are applying to different fields (like dermatology and anesthesiology) have mentioned that certain programs have additional application requirements when compared to ERAS. An example would be a friend applying to Duke for Derm mentioned that she needs to write a 500-1000 word autobiography in lieu of a personal statement.
Does anyone know of any of these alternative requirements in the application to radiation oncology programs? I have been to numerous sites and have yet to find any evidence of this, but perhaps I am not looking in the right place. Also, is it a big deal if this is on their site, but is not mentioned in ERAS and I submit a standard application anyways?
Thanks!
