This has been discussed in brief in 2006 but it's high time to bring it back.

Anyone have any good sources for axial CTs and HY radiology images for Step 1?

It seems that the major radiology topics might include:
Major thoracoabdominal vasculature and tumors (ie know normal structure locations)

Coronal and saggital angiograms of the head and neck, circle of Willis; AAA

CXR: tension, non-tension pneumothorax, pleural effusion, mesothelioma, white out in ARDS, readily-apparent aortic dissection or presence of aortic aneurysm (increased size of the aortic knob)

CT axial of the lungs: honeycombing in pulmonary fibrosis (often idiopathic on Boards), emphysematous changes

What else, guys, what else..

The imaging on Step 1 is very straight forward and basic. I found learningradiology.com to be useful. Some high yield findings include:
  • Head CT for bleeds (e.g. subdural, epidural, SAH) and MRI for malformations (e.g. arnold-chiari)
  • MRI shoulder and knee for identifying rotator cuff and ACL tears respectively.
  • CXR for pneumonia and knowing the general regions of primary lung cancer. Be able to distinguish from metastasis.
Like histology, you will probably figure out most answers simply based on the history presented.

Also the Netter CD has CT's and that kind of stuff. I hope I brought it with me....it's actually pretty good, IMHO

Did I mention how much I hate this exam? Like, hate it with a passion?
