I was wondering if any of you out there had any suggestions on a good
book(s) that would help me prepare for my 4th year radiology rotations. I am interested in radiology as a residency, so its not just an elective for me. Also, I don't want some huge tome, just a book that has good info. and some good pictures to help me get a leg up! Thanks. 😀

Check out Squire's Fundamentals of Radiology, written by Novelline. There's a new (~2 yr old) version available, it's reasonably priced, full of lots of good pictures, and it's an easy read. This is an excellent text for a radiology elective, but you'll soon graduate to bigger, heavier books if you're truly interested in the field.

Just talked to a rads soc who I'm doing research with next year. He also mentioned Squire's and also a book by Kaplan. Best of luck.

phillybabe, are you really a babe?

Know your anatomy and pathology cold. I like to quiz the fourth years rotating through. I have been impressed with many students...others I wonder if they need to repeat a year or two....to brush up on the basics.
