Better job market, better pay, work from home, work from anywhere, easier to take vacation, more vacation time in general. The fear with radiology has always been outsourcing and commoditization but the former has never turned out to be an issue and the latter is a problem everywhere in medicine. The rads dept at my hospital is chronically understaffed and they're struggling to find good radiologists right now.
