Rads residency at UIC

How's the rad residency at UIC?
Any input from current residents would help?

well there you go, more evidence that i'm an idiot. for most of the programs I've heard about, medicine,rads, and most other things, they don't seem to be head of the pack, at least in chicago. optho and a few other things they may.

Anybody at UIC or know someone there that can fill me in on the program. I'm aware the neighbors are doing better because they are private institutions, but I'm not looking for the best rep program. I'm looking for a program with good attendings meaning folks who aren't a##holes and able to care about residents than be punitive about dumb stuff.

I personally have met some of the attendings at UIC and they are good people and excellent teachers. However, I only know a fraction of the UIC staff. Residents I have not encountered but haven't heard "bad" things at all. I would talk to UIC residents first hand to find out how it is.
