I got the book for my online medical terminology class today. Looks like fun stuff. 😉

And am I right is suspecting that this probably won't make life easier in med school at all? I just took it because it was the only semi-relevant one unit class I could find. It's stupid - I have to be enrolled in at least 6 units to keep my kids on the on-campus daycare waiting list, but 6 units is also the maximum I can take without being enrolled in a degree program. Stupid o. chem lab was 3 units, abnormal psych was 3. Nice, huh? 😉

oh man, i took a medical terminology class as an "upper division" elective in college. it was a joke, maybe its just that i liked medicine but it was so easy. it might help you a little in med school but when i mean a little i mean you'll recognize a couple more words if anything than you would have without the class.

its really a type of cram and forget class.

I have a hilarious kidney story. We got a "liver biopsy" that had three cores in it. One was blood, one was liver, and one was KIDNEY. Like a perfect kidney bx. The whole GI team came, and the attending was going through that slide with her team, looking at the kidney biopsy and talking about how abnormal that liver was. ROFL

Let me get this straight: you have a computer pet, and you have to feed it??? 😕

That's correct. If I don't feed him, he will run away, or even attack me. 😱 Also, the more well fed he is, the more damage he does to enemies.

He only eats meat. I try to feed him fish all the time but he won't eat it. His favorite food is roasted quail.

You have my utmost sympathy. I mean, where does a HO get her hands on so much roasted quail??? 😉

It was an oncocytoma. I didn't download the pic yet, but it looked like this (but a lot bigger):

In the words of Dr. Nick:

"What the hell is that?"

You could have told me that was a cow brain and I would have nodded accordingly. 😀

Anyway, as a treat to the MCATers, I'll unveil the answer to my two riddles tomorrow.

Best of luck today! :luck: :luck:
