Apparently there are 3 Checker's in Milwaukee. I don't remember them from when I lived in that area, though... maybe they're new?

At any rate, the closest one to me is 75 miles away. 🙂

and MM, BB, and Nik (wherever you may be this evening), I would just like to say again- thanks for the support during the Great Summer Physics Meltdown of 2006. I re-started the class today at a normal pace, have back the teacher who I adore, and am raring to go. 🙂

Classes so far so good. Quant chem doesn't look too bad and my med micro class isn't that bad. Although Quant I had to buy the NEW harris book 😡 $140 And my med micro book is one that some med schools use so I'll keep as a reference. My ochem book SHOULD be the same one I had last spring and I just have to get my meteorology book. I have that class tomorrow night. 7:20-10pm :barf: I dont like the time frame!

I have orgo I M/W days, then physics II w/lab M/W eves... should be interesting.

OChem is being taught by a guy who's brand new to the school, and has only been in the US (from Germany) since '04. He seems pretty cool.. is probably younger than me... but the only grades for the entire class are 3 tests and a cum final.

oh and that's the crap thing for the semester- we lucked out and we don't have any tests on the same day for those classes. EXCEPT cum finals in both classes. *sob*

OK, I'm going to finish packing. Might be on later depending on how the sleep fairy is treating me.

I'm leaving for three days and then having houseguests and then getting ready to move, so I'm going to be a bit more absent then usual.

In case I don't get back on tonight, have a great week and see you all later!

anyone else have a dell and their battery won't charge anymore ? I think whatever update I installed forced the issue by disallowing recharging of the battery... I'm gonna have to respond to that stupid recall now

Some dude on this car forum I hang out on went to McD's to get a filet-o-fish through the drive-thru. I don't even have to say anything.

Also, I do believe that Steak N Shake uses Coca Cola as a secret ingredient in their chili sauce. I had 2 roommates in college who worked for Steak n Shake in Carbondale who told me that!

ok, quickly, and then I am going-

about a year ago, I drove through McD's (Meg- the one on Lindell across from the scary supermarket), and ordered one of their new chicken sandwiches, without mayo. apparently the girl heard "without meat", as I got bread, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. drove around the block and back through, only to have the mgr argue with me that I had said "without meat". I looked at her and asked why on earth I'd spend that much money to get a chicken sandwich with no chicken. If I'd just wanted the bread, I'd have gotten a hamburger, hold the burger.

then they took my bread back, and instead of giving me a new sandwich, slapped a chicken filet on it. and despite asking me x3 if I wanted breaded or grilled (grilled, thank you), they gave me breaded.

I was done at that point. didn't want to risk going back and having god-knows-what happen to my sandwich.

but the fries were awesome 😍

ridiculous... the McD's by my house caters to every whim and desire of mine... best fries in the world... and now I have them put on mac souce on all of my sandwiches too, delicious.

well this was a KFC in Belfast so ya'll don't need to be TOO worried:
Friend of mine sent her husband to get a filet burger from KFC, hold the mayo. Well he gets back and she bites into it. Out pours all this nasty white substance and she bitches at her husband, "I said no mayo!" and he said, I told them that! So they take it apart to scrape the mayo off and no mayo. Then she realized the stuff was coming from within the chicken. Yup, nasty cyst right in the middle of her chicken. :barf:

So cute! My parents have a cat like Pete. He's probably 20+lbs. My brother brought home a kitten recently, and she's taken over the food bowl. The other cat doesn't eat until she's finished. I'm sure it will be no time before this little one finds his place too.

Does she know what mayo tastes like since she was wrong? Let her know it tastes good if she didn't know. 🙂

Mayo is pretty good for you and it tastes good, too (since you don't seem to realize either 😛 ). Egg whites (protein) and vege oil (unsaturated fats) are really good for you.
