Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the thread!

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Congratulations to everyone who made Part 4 such a kickass thread!!!

And thank you to the ever generous, intelligent, lovely, and kind Nichole, who let me start the thread even though she won the last one. 🙂

You mean the less expensive drugs? Their healthcare book would be thinner than ours since they probably have less problems, lol!!!

However, I have heard of some Canadians coming to the US for care...

Yeah, our system is far from perfect. The main problem is waitinglists for some services...they're too long. So the people who can pay for it get care from the US. The current gov't is going to try to legislate guaranteed waittimes, which probably means that you'll get more business, but the idea is that the gov't will pay for it. This will only be for selected services though. I don't think this will happen anytime soon though

Problems? Waiting time for surgeries and to see a doctor? 😉 yes your system has the right idea but its majorly underfunded. 🙁
All you health care 'freaks' might be interested in reading this ... Top ten things about canadian health care

And by freaks, I mean freaks like me who like reading about this stuff 😀

For point number one, it's not necessarily a typical Canadian babies that are worse off than African American babies. I have a strong hunch that a good deal of the underweight babies are aboriginal. In some reserves, they live in absolutely horrid conditions. I don't know if you heard about it, but last winter, a whole native community had to be evacuated because the water was unsafe to drink. It turns out that those in charge of the water systems weren't properly educated. Sad state of affairs 🙁

Whoa I must have missed that part about the babies. I don't see that as an issue.

But yeah, public health is something that needs to be looked at. If you guys EVER want a great read to open your eyes about the state of public health ...

click on the picture to find out more about it.

i thought they were called something like the 7 nations ? Is aboriginal a common term in Canuckia ?

yay for mouse free homes.
i am so glad he's gone. i was freaking out cleaning up mouse poop for the past few weeks, and it was even more frustrating b/c neither of us had seen him anywhere. but today, he showed up in the bathroom, and my bf was able to keep him in there while he went to get the trap.

aww, that's what pictures are for! 😛

the fire in the toilet pictures were nutty!! :wow:
 Melissa was by far the funniest roomie I've EVER HAD.

I think she kept me from going insane at points.

It's making me think of that line from "Chasing Cars": I need your grace to remind me to find my own.

When I get all frustrated with this process, thinking about my friends in Belfast reminds me why I'm doing it.

just packed up the piece of crap hard drive to take back. I hate returning opened crap what wat the hell am i supposed to do when the product doesnt even partially function like its supposed to?

Hey what's up??? I'm back from a cruise in the Bahamas with my family. We all went on Friday from the Port of Someplace someplace and then went onto the Bahamas for a day and then at sea for an extra day. Then we passed Cuba from afar and returned to someplace someplace. Then it took like 4 hours to get back to my parents house for me and my bro. My other bro drove back with my parents. Actually he slept the whole way back.

I'll be back in Tampa tonight.

Yay Guju is back!

I found a black suit at JCPenney for $90. 😀 I got home though and realized the sales lady didn't take the ink security device off the skirt. So now I have to go back. 😡

I had a shirt already that will work as a shell. So now I just need shoes and pantyhose. Ugh, do I really need to wear hose??? I HATE them. Of course I hate the whole wearing a suit thing, period.

Oh, and I wanted to get the grey Ann Taylor suit - it looked gorgeous on me but they didn't have the jacket in my size. 🙁 It was on sale plus an extra 20% off so I think it would have been under $200.

Ahh well - $90 is a much better deal even if I don't like the suit as much.

I just wear microfiber knee-highs. Is it a skirt? Then you might want to go for the stockings. 🙁

Oh and this was depressing - Guys stop reading now.

I went to VS to get a nice new bra and they don't carry any with a cup size big enough for me! 😱 I had the sales lady measure me. Very depressing. If I don't shrink when I wean the baby I'm going to seriously consider a reduction. 🙁

I went to Victoria Secret one time and girl measured me. She tried to tell me I was a 38 D - I was like WTF? So I picked up the D and put it on my head and then proceeded to inform the sales girl that my head was in fact the only place on my body a D cup size would fit.

You've seen my pic on myspace - do I look like a D-cup to you!?!

I guess I should have considered it a complement though. I'm sure you'll go down once you stop breastfeeding.

BTW, I'm sure there's a joke to be made here about oxeye needing a bigger carrying case for her breaststicks :meanie:

LOL, sorry I haven't really checked out your rack in your pics. 😉 I'll have to go look now, though.

Yes, I was asking for breaststick jokes wasn't I?

i thought they were called something like the 7 nations ? Is aboriginal a common term in Canuckia ?

Well, there is a reserve called the Six Nations. Aboriginal is the best term, because it captures both the natives living in the south and the inuit in the north. It's also more politically correct than Indians...

I would have loved to be in the store to see the saleswoman's reaction. You always hear this weird stat about how the majority of women don't wear the right bra size and how we should get measured, etc. But if that's how people get measured...Yikes!

I actually ended up just finding a website that told me how to do it and did it for myself. Not complicated actually.

I think I've measured before, but I already know what size I by comfort level...I went through a stage where I had a case of wishful thinking and went one size too big, but it just didn't feel right.

I think you're pretty. 🙂

With regard to the suit, maybe look at another couple of places until you find the one that fits you best??? I'm telling you, if you can afford the nicer suit and you feel better in it, you'll feel more confident at your interviews. 👍

Just my two cents though.
