Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Yeah actually I don't think I can do an MD, PhD too.....but the deal that the schools give you sounds sweet!

Getting something delivered sux.....when we were getting our fridge delivered a while back they said the'll come from 8am-5pm...when we asked them can you be more specific, they said 8am-5pm 👎

It depends on the school I guess. For one that has tuition at like 30k+ a year, then probably. The schools I want to go to are like $20k after fees and everything. Add $10k for food/apt/misc. I'm hoping for a merit scholarship, but I highly doubt it. I've done nothing remotely special in undergrad.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a merit scholarship too .... keeping EVERYTHING crossed for that to happen.

Haha, good thing we don't have a welcome mat. 😉

I did have a package blow away one time. Then my neighbor saw me outside months later and said "hey we had one of your packages blow into our yard." He then goes inside and proceeded to give me the item I had ordered. He had taken it out of the box!!! 😱 I never did get a chance to ask him what possessed him to open MY package. I was too stunned!!!

Wow, I'd be pissed. You'd think a neighbor would be kind enough to ask around if he/she doesn't know their neighbors and not even consider opening it up. That's a shame...

Did you ever claim through the delivery or insurance that it never came?

The neighbor knew my name and that it belonged next door. He was weird, though. He and his wife just recently got divorced and sold the house, though so he's not my neighbor anymore. 😉

I did file a claim with UPS and got it replaced. They were really good about that.

Hangups. But the person waits probably 1 min before hanging up. I can hear them breathing. Started yesterday. Have gotten 4 in the past hour. I think I'm going to report it to the phone company. At first I thought it was just a crank call, but seriously this is getting ridiculous.

And if I don't pick up, and let my machine take it, they will call back in rapid succession.

True. But statistically speaking, I continue to believe that your couch is the safest place to be.

I finished The Waste Lands (Dark Tower III). On to Wizards and Glass. The end of that book was messed up.

i miss going to the open... love going to the outer courts, watching games, running into big players. pete sampras, agassi, davenport... that's who i've seen.

plus... shea stadium is right next door
