Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Hey, how's the epithelium histology coming?

I only have 2 days left at the VA. This is a very very very good thing. I am so sick of getting yelled at all the time. I am pretty shy and quiet but am really developing quite the attitude. 😉

This is an actual interaction, which is typical of my days:
Attending (roll eyes at me): This is why I want to look at anything big before you gross it in. I should have made you open your cassettes. You're just a first year resident. You are in an eternal adolescence. Medical school hasn't prepared you for anything. You don't know anything.
Me (clenching teeth): What exactly should I have done differently with my sections:
Attending: Well, nothing. 😡 😡 😡
My thoughts: WTF are you ranting at me then????!!!!

The other thing that kills me: There are some sections that I should have taken that I didn't. OK, mistake. BUT, I am extremely careful with orientation and can always go back to the bucket and get exactly what I want. I did that. Slowed down turnaround by a day by me messing up. This is not the end of the world people!!!!! God, you'd think I had gone and killed somebody the way these people act! I seriously feel like people are just WAITING for me to make a mistake so they can pounce.

thank god you only have 2 days left--those people are so whack. I can't even understand it. forget about them--you'll be a better pathologist then they could ever hope to be.

ok beary we actually just did epithelium histology today and the prof went slower and it actually made sense. i guess the other day we did cytology--i have to review that tonight. If I have any questions I will definitely ask you--we have a practice lab quiz on friday--it doesn't count toward our grade but it just lets us see where we stand. so on my exam i'm gonna have cytology, epithelium, and connective tissue slides

hey sweetie! yeah, they just dropped the hurricane watch. they left the trop storm warning and tornado and flood watches. the networks even started showing regular programming again. :laugh:

they say the worst of the weather is still ahead of us but whatever, its hard to take stuff seriously when they have regular shows on tv. i am seeing lighting outside my window but nothing major so far.

*crosses fingers that school is still closed tomorrow*

they wouldnt take it back would they? no, please dont!😳
