Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the thread!

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Ah so you're thinking about FSU, too, I see. Not a bad choice. My friend went there for an interview last Fall and liked the campus. He took some pics and showed me. Looks good.

Yeah, I know. I am embarrased to say that I voided again. I have a problem. Jan here I come. Short story...my proctor didnt call the five minute mark like she said she would and I forgot to click in the second hand on my watch. I had unanswered questions when she all of a sudden said put down your pencils. I am not blaming her because it was my fault for fogeting to push in my watch, but I asked her why she didn't call five minutes and she said she had a timer that went off at the five minute mark to let us know. I never heard that timer.

Actually, it is the last school I would be interested in going to here in FL...but, if it were my only acceptance it would suck to not be able to attend because I wouldn't be done with my BA.

I am looking forward to the format of the Jan test. I am kinda glad I am going to have more time to bring up my VR scores. Plus, I have a bunch of Kaplan PT I have not taken and AAMC 9.

Do you know if the CBT has a timer on the computer screen? Does it blink red or something at 5 minutes?

I know it has a timer on the page but I don't know about it blinking. That would drive me crazy. I would get too nervous and freak out.

Speaking of nervous, you should've seen my group during the second WS. Wow, the lady called 5 minutes when there were actually 15 left. I was 2/3 done writing so it wasn't too bad, but my heart rate jumped pretty high. Everyone was looking up like wtf so I had to tell her there were 15 left. The other proctor confirmed and she apologize. Freakin' bitch thank god that didn't happen during VR.

Three of seven done, not counting Duke which hasn't been released yet. I'm trying to finish them this weekend before class work piles up.

Geesh. Did you ever read DocG's crazy MCAT exerience? He was at the same testing site as me, but luckily he was in a different room. Hold on and I will find it.

Are you expecting anymore secondaries? I think I'll send out 8-10 primaries. I'm honestly not interested in that many programs and I feel this will show in my secondary essays or in interviews if it gets to that point.

I actually haven't received any yet as I still have about two weeks to be verified. I've just been using the official questions thread in pre-allo to get a head start as I want to submit these as soon as I receive them to make up for my not so early primary submission. Unless I decide to add more schools, I'll just have the eight to do.

Yea, I actually couldn't find that list since it seemed very unorganized. Which thread did you specifically use?

Also, how does one get a full ride? Besides MD/PhD, do most get full rides because of financial aid/need or because of merit scholarships? It seems rather difficult to do without promising them PhD work in return.

I think I replied to that thread before. I'm willing to bet her exam was automatically voided at the end by the proctors. Maybe they didn't even tell her, but it would be fair.

I'm already eliminating schools to apply to because of those essays. UChicago is done. Harvard is asking only for college graduates what they've done. Great, I graduated in May and studied for the MCAT. That should make a terrific essay. Same for JHS...

hey williams if you don't mind me asking how did you go from econ (can't remember if you said b4 you had a business degree or an econ degree) to pre-med. Were you always planing on med or did something happen along the way making you want to change your career path?

I was always pre-med. I did econ because I liked my econ class for my last semester of high school. It was also a back up plan in case I didn't continue with pre-med in college. Now that I completed it, it is still a back up in case I don't get into med school.
