Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the thread!

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Congratulations to everyone who made Part 4 such a kickass thread!!!

And thank you to the ever generous, intelligent, lovely, and kind Nichole, who let me start the thread even though she won the last one. 🙂

i didn't know you work for HMS. Saw that on facebook. WOW!!!

Don't worry you aren't the only one having a hard time catching up with these people.
 We're only peripherally affiliated with HMS...our facility is the geriatric teaching hospital for HMS, and I have a harvard.edu email address, but I don't get any of the super nice working-for-Harvard perks like using the gym, the library, free Harvard extension school classes, access to other campus facilities, etc.

yes, in fact.... if a resident is on shift as the hurricane approaches and hits us they CANNOT LEAVE THE HOSPITAL. there will always be docs for our patients, if the storm is so bad that the next shift of residents and staff cant make it into the hospital then the staff that is currently working just stays working.

students are excused because we arent "critical" to patient care. as juniors and seniors if we wanted to be there we could but its not required.
At my work, if there is any sort of crisis (e.g. horrendous snow storm), ALL staff are required to stay until the state of emergency is cleared (b/c we have over 600 nursing home residents here who may need to be evacuated, so we would need all the staff we can get).

any news with applications s&m?

hmm, well i got rejected pre-secondary from UNC's MD/PhD program...and my someplace someplace secondary is due tomorrow, so I'm finishing that up and sending it out tonight.

Other than that, no news!

just make sure you let me know when you get your someplace someplace interview. 😎

stop your whining, its easier that way for me. I try to multiquote on a page.

Repeat: I am not a postwhore, I am a post-companion (molly will appreciate this)

Rinse then REPEAT! I am not a postwhore, I am a post-companion

👍 😍 👍 I love it. I shall promptly steal it and use it from now on!

With all your free time I hope we will be seeing a new blog entry! 🙂

ha, ok m&m... by request, i have to do a lot of reading today but if i have power later tonight or tomorrow i'll post. i probably will because my apt building is part of the hospital infrastructure since the first 10 floors of the building are clinics and university offices so if the power does go out, this building is one of the first ones in the county to get power restored. ahhh.... priority to hospital infrastructure. 😀

I love your weather update avatars! 🙂

You should watch that "Read" video to get yourself psyched up for all the reading you have to do.

oh baby be careful!! ru in your apt?😍

yeah, since this thing is gonna just be a trop storm i didnt leave. i'm thinking its gonna be more of a rain problem with flooding than a wind problem. my car is gonna stay nice and dry in the hospital parking garage and i'm in my apt so i think i'm better off here than if i had to drive back through all the water on my way back when its all over.

oh i see this thread is very active..maybe u guys can answer a quick question about the application process, even though i am pretty sure this is not the best place to post but it might get me the fastest answer...so if the deadline of a school is Oct 15 for example..is that the amcas and secondary application or just amcas..and if u took the august test should u not apply to schools with this deadline? sorry for askin this here

I dont understand the purpose of this thread..anyone know??
