Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the thread!

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Congratulations to everyone who made Part 4 such a kickass thread!!!

And thank you to the ever generous, intelligent, lovely, and kind Nichole, who let me start the thread even though she won the last one. 🙂

I didn't even know those barbs can go right through you. 🙁 I liked his guest appearances on the late night shows. He will be missed.

I want an SDN meet.

Me too!! JLW and megboo are ditching me tomorrow with millions of my extended family members. Something about a long drive and school work or something. :meanie: 😉

Next up on the SDN meet list for me: VD and Mr. T in October at their U Mich interviews! 👍 Oh, and Q, if she ever decides to come visit me. :meanie:

I hope A-Man saw that destruction tonight. Take away their 3 big plays and a kickoff return and its 59-0.

If the secondary can get their act together, and special teams does their job, we'll win. Saddened that Bush went down, but we have decent depth at HB so someone should step up.

Silly BB, no one watches college football on a Sunday. 😀

awwwwwwwwwwww. I think next June we should all get together in chitown for the OPM!

 I thought the same thing when I saw those games were on today and had a moment of intense confusion as to what day it was. 😳

Tomorrow is the FSU-Miami game - that's always fun, even though I hate both teams with a passion. *runs*

Carl Edwards was mathematically eliminated from the NASCAR Chase tonight. There is only one race left, the one at Richmond, before the field is set. 10 guys will get in, and there's only 1 guy outside the top 10 now who has a chance.

Ha, I'm guessing you feel the same about my school, UF. 😳 (questionable call in the Outback Bowl game with Iowa?)
I'm pulling for Miami tomm night just so they will be higher ranked when we beat them in 2 weeks.

PS. Lee Corso is an idiot and picked Cal to win the NC. Cal's record 0-1.

I was just studying some flashcards, I come back and steve irwin is dead.

Can't believe he got taken down by a stingray.

R.I.P. Steve Irwin 🙁

 No, I'm not exactly a UF fan, for many reasons. I like and follow the Hawkeyes, but my true football loyalty and passion is with the Huskers.

Of course, now I can reflect on my favorite game ever, the 1995 NC game (1996 Fiesta Bowl). Nebraska 62, Florida 24. 😎 😛

actually quite a few christian bands have crossed over. Don't make me think of them, jars of clay, Tonic, crap and who's the most recent success? blast. There have been quite a few though.
DC Talk. And let's not forget Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith. 😎

Edit: Oh, and Creed.

You know I want to. But it's going to be tough now. 🙁 How have you been doing, doc?

I haven't heard of any of those except Creed...
OH. MY. GOD. You are such a child!!! When I was in college, DC Talk was very popular. I'm not even a Christian and I listened to them. I think their most famous song was "Jesus Freak." Amy Grant started out as a Christian singer and crossed over big time when I was (cringe) in high school. She had this song "That's What Love is For" and another one "I Will Remember You." But my all time favorite Christian Singer is definitely Michael W. Smith. He has a fantastic voice, and his songs are great. Most famous song is probably "Place in This World." But my favorite is "Old Enough to Know." Not sure why, I've just always liked that song.

Here's what's on my playlist, but in no particular order:

The Mars Volta
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Audioslave
Queens of the Stone Age
Queen
a few random songs, some OST, some 1980s, a little rap...

I also don't listen to the radio. When I'm in my car, it's just CDs. When I workout, it's just mp3s.

I'm not Christian either...

MTV doesn't even play music anymore so I stopped watching that years ago.

Ok, on your list, I've heard of Tool (don't much care for them), Audioslave (not bad; I like "Show me How to Live," but I don't like them enough to buy the album) and Queen (now you're talking; classic rock is my favorite genre. 👍 ).

My favorite more recent groups are Linkin Park (love them), the Foo Fighters, Evanescence, and amazingly, Avril Lavigne.

Wow. Just wow.

Really!!! I didn't know that. What do they have on now? I started watching MTV in the mid 80s as a middle schooler, and it was basically all music videos. I liked Guns n Roses a lot, and Madonna, and, um, the Scorpions. I remember that my dad was not too pleased about the lyrics to Skid Row's "18 and Life," and he forbid my sister and me to watch MTV any more. So of course we'd go to our friends' houses and watch it. :meanie: What about VH1? If you tell me you don't know what I'm talking about, I will cry.

I'm sad to say, but I can't stand any of that. Terrible lyrics. I only have 1 song of them - abyss, but I've probably listend to that twice so far.

and amazingly, Avril Lavigne.

 What a little emo punk girl. She had to have "concerts" in malls because she couldn't sell out a real arena.

At least she looks like an attractive girl now after she started to wear real makeup and color her hair. 👍

Wow. Just wow.
Yeah, I know. I think I just like her attitude more than anything. And she has an excellent voice. I used to really like Gwen Stefani, but she's become so weird. WTF was "Hollaback Girl" all about??? 😱

I just made it bold so that little tidbit of Q information didn't go unnoticed to the depths of SDN before all Randomites saw it.

She was writing and performing her own songs at age 19. Which is way more than you or I can say for ourselves. 😉

What about VH1? If you tell me you don't know what I'm talking about, I will cry.

I 😍 VH1! Though they almost never play music videos anymore, either. Almost any time of the day or night you can put it on VH1 and be guaranteed to see something good. 🙂

The only thing I ever watched regularly on MTV was Newlyweds, which is now gone. 🙁

You got MTV at its best. Late 90s they turned to crap. Now it's one reality show after another. I.e. "Sweet Sixteen." Little spoiled girls (and sometimes boys) demanding everything for their 16th birthdays. Parents dont' know how to control their kids and sometimes spends hundreds of THOUSANDS of dollars on their stupid parties. Someone please kill me because I never want to see this show again.

A lot of dating shows (including dating a mother), a life style of the rich and famous ripoff, Andy Milonakis (do not ever watch this show, I've said enough).

I've heard VH1 is going in the same path. They have that Surreal life thing now I think. They put up washed up celebs in a house (MC Hammer, Ron Jeremy, etc...)

I liked it when they had music videos on almost all the time. MTV made MTV2 to play music videos, but now that has become overrun with the show Jackass and reruns of their reality shows.

Heh, I think you're right. By the late 90s I was already a grad student, so I didn't watch MTV any more.

keep telling yourself that 😉

I think I just saw 2 people on CNN or something agruing about this. Some lady said the US has the shortest life expectancy amoung industrial nations and lots of health problems. She said it was because we work over 40hrs a week. The opponent, some 80+ year old guy, said the French work 35 hours a week, but he "wouldn't want to be a Frenchman." LMAO!!!

And so is their relationship.

I think it was Jessica's dad's fault. He probably wanted her to have a "better" guy. This is the perv that also talks about his daughter's breasts so take everything he says with a large grain of salt. 🙄

Btw, Q, Jessica has an amazing voice. 😉 Not sure who the heck really writes their own stuff in the pop music world.
