if only i could trick my nike+ thingamabob to thinking i ran 4 miles today

soooooo not in the mood!
Dude, I ran 3 miles last night, and now my scale is claiming that I lost 4 pounds. I have a hard time believing that figure, though I have to say, it does compensate for all those times when I briefly looked at a picture of a cheesecake in a magazine and gained 3.

I can't decide whether to register in A&P this fall/spring (it's a year-long course). I am taking it solely to add some credits to my BCPM and (hopefully) raise it in the event that I don't get in this year. I don't have to decide till August 10th (the deadline to register for a Sept 1 start)....I'm hoping that by then I'll have SOME idea of how miserable I might be in this app process, considering that I should have some post-secondary rejections by then.🙄

Everybody says it's hard as crap at our school, but I dont understand this.. (of course, after studing for MCAT, what IS hard?). Anyway, it's not that bad and you probably would enjoy it..

Good point. I mean, crap, I learned like half of the A&P material for that darn test.

OMG, check it out (thesuperficial.com):

Wilmer Valderrama and Kevin Federline were spotted partying together in Las Vegas over the weekend, and the two hit it off so well K-Fed invited Fez to collaborate with him on his next album.
The new BFFs "chilled out together and insisted on rapping along to every song played ... K-Fed invited Wilmer to be involved with his next album." Britney's baby-daddy even had a nifty new trick to foil the paparazzi at Heineken's Thirst Studio Global Sessions. "He had a little flashlight he would shine in cameras so they couldn't get any shots."
This might be the greatest partnership since peanut better and jelly. Assuming, of course, that peanut butter and jelly were douchebags with no careers. I guess they could, like, hold meetings and discuss their goatees. Maybe braid each other's hair and have pillow fights? And at the end of the day they can fall asleep in each other's arms while reminiscing about better times, trying to be brave for each other as a single tear rolls down their cheek.

😆😆

wheeeeee! 26 more hours until d-day.

Maybe I'll look at a few practice passages tonight, I don't know. My motivation this week has been ZERO.

Blah.

Looking forward to Cold Stone though 😀!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't do **** last week either, don't worry about it.

I had a weird dream about being in college and dating my college sweetheart, but i was also married to my (now) husband!

Right before I woke up I was trying to call my husband on the phone but I kept dialing the wrong number. I have the weirdest dreams sometimes....

Seriously??? Bummer. Have you watched it yet? When you do, tell me...I have laugh "aloud" about the latest miracle of TV medical dramas.
I saw the season finale of house. All I can say is, What just happened?

I took Anatomy last semester and loved it. Supposedly, it is a really difficult course, but dude..it was awesome. I would take it again if I could. Haven't taken A&P since high school when I took AP A&P which always sounded funny to me.

i dont know if anyone read my posts about birds in XXI, but OMG THESE LITTLE BASTARDS ARE ANNOYING THE HELL OUT OF ME. I can understand they get bored, but do they reallly have to scare the crap out of me by flying right past me while im driving. i drove about 1 mile down the road to my library, and in that 1 mile this happened at least 4 times.

Solution: Accelerate

i actually DEcelerated once to give a couple birds time to get out of the road (they were just chillin there for some reason), and they wanted to play chicken or something because they waited until i was about 2 inches away to fly straight up. I definately pegged one of them tho because i heard a thump and saw feathers in my rear window.:meanie:

that's happened to me before when it was night time.

everyone here brakes for the canadian geese. i don't mind letting them cross the road, but when i am coming back from work and i really need to pee... well, they just need to cross a little faster

It's Durden's fault.

However, better belated than never...

*cues Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto, trying to remember exactly why this is one of our songs anyway, as a memorial to PW's 3K post and blasts Randomville out of bed on this fine (rainy) morning*

BP, there was no request for our services.

And I'm pretty sure oxeye added that concerto to the list when she was close to 3K.

AAAARRGGGHHHH!!!!

Ok, so I went to the laundromat to do some more studying for the orgo final, and I kept messing up all the benzene stuff! So I called today and rescheduled for next Wednesday (I'm taking it correspondence, so I have some choice in regards to my exam dates as long as I finish the class in 3 months). This really SUCKS, because I really wanted to get this class all done, over with, and grades ready by June 15, so that AMCAS receives my transcript before July. Hopefully I can still do it.

AAARGGGGHHH! Stupid work! It's not even that I hadn't studied enough, it's just that I've been so stressed that I can't remember anything!👎mad:

OK, so I've got myself scheduled for tomorrow and Friday at work (as well as Sat, Sun, and Mon), but I'm so freaking stressed, I'm thinking about taking tomorrow and Friday off.....

Blarg.

Gotta call the manager now. She'll be thrilled!:meanie:🙄

Work is insane today and so is the weather. If it rains much more, I'll be swimming home too. Uggh. Haven't been nearly productive enough (too much work drama this morning). Hopefully I can get a few hours in before I leave today, if not, it's looking like a long study night..

Bought 7 new fish for the pond this morning!! EEK!! Love it!

(what does our Chow see? SUSHI...*****)

It's just memorization, correct?

I tend to do well in memorization classes (like Cell Bio).

Anyone have experience with microbio? How does it compare to, say, cell bio and genetics? (the only bio classes I've taken  )

I'm trying to decide what to do this fall/next spring. I was originally going to take 3 classes (9 credits) each semester so I can finish all the pre-reqs and also go into full-time status so I don't have to make student loan payments. However, for re-application purposes, it's best if I took 5 courses (15 credits) both in the fall and spring, because it'd allow me to have more of an impact on my BCPM - AND cumulative. But 5 courses will mean that I have to quit work....I can't decide.🙄

I'm a good memorizer (or?) too.. LOL. I'm glad to hear Cell Bio is like that, I'm taking it in the... winter or spring (Gen & Cell Bio flip flop b/w when they are offered here).

I know, right? It's like we're actually learning stuff we're going to USE, and that is great.

ARGH! So I called the manager and she's like "sure, take those 2 days off." And then she's like "That customer you hung up on yesterday was really upset (DUH, and I wasn't after being driven to hang up on him 🙄 ), and he called the store manager and complained about you, so the store manager will speak to you when you are back, because it's the worst decision you could make, blah blah blah." So I'm like "Ok, I might not be coming back, I'll let you know on Friday." So I don't know if I'm going to return there or not. My father supports me partially since I'm still in school, and that job was just a way to earn some extra spending money, and the huge perk was the amount of downtime that I could use to study. However, at this point 1) my hours have gone down quite a bit, reducing my income nearly to half of what it used to be 2) this job has become a HUGE source of stress in my life, and as today's incident with having to reschedule the exam illustrates, it's now working AGAINST me when it comes to academics. But then I don't want to depend on my father 100% financially, because he's bipolar, and he goes through phases when he sends me humongous amounts of money, but then decides to stop sending me anything for like 2 months and I fall behind on all my financial obligations and have to go to the food bank. This job at least guarantees I'll have food.

So I don't know if I'm going to come back or not. I'm waiting till Friday to make the final decision.👎

If you want to learn anything, it is more than memorization. But, you can get an A without anything BUT memorization....a LOT of it. So, yeah...it's a memorization class

I have 25 schools that i'm applying to. Is that too much? I'm going to be so broke.

Try 40.

OK, I'm taking 1000 mg of Fukitol and driving up to the mountains to fish/roam/get tan and sexy tomorrow.

I'm also thinking about taking a lethal dose of Fukitol, quitting the job, and flying back home to Russia for 3 weeks once I'm done with the orgo final.:hardy:

I just had a bowl of Fukitol (aka: vanilla dish) and am headed to nap. I got home from work and our outside gates were locked (and I couldn't find my swipe card). After some sweet little old man let me in, I have been searching about an hour for my mailbox key, which I STILL can't find.

🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

This day SUCKS. (Those may seem like little things, but come on girls, it's "that time" and little things always seem like the end of the world then!)

When I'm going through "that time," I feel that *I* am the end of the world and the world better hide before I destroy it.👍

Hey guys - what did you wear to take the MCAT in? Anything I should be aware of clothing-wise?

On a more serious note - our room was REALLY hot. I recommend layering (say, tank top and a sweatshirt) to prepare for the possibly weird temperatures in the test room.
