hey brett--remember JustR....lmao.

craziest poster on SDN ever. well except for the one poster who said he was going to murder me. that was nice as well.

Wow who the hell did that??? That's just psycho. I know a few posters who have said others have threatened them. Never happened to me though I've had my fair share of fights with cocky types.

I think the next 8 days are going to be my most difficult in residency to date. Things have been hard for the last few weeks anyway and I think it is a bad sign that this morning I have that quivering/extreme fatigue and stress that I associate with the end of the day. 😱

i'm not in a place to give you advice--obviously--but just take it day by day. I hope the week goes by quickly for you😍

btw--have you seen your nephew yet?????

Haven't disappeared, just in test hibernation. LOL.

Nikki - love the kitty avatar
beary - it's all okay in the end. if it's not ok, it's not the end.

As for me, one test down (electrochem - a B) and one to go (anatomy at 6). My brain is fried and it just turned afternoon.

😍 Thanks Nik! Today went ok. Now 7 days - until - I meet my nephew! I'm taking off the last week in July, flying out to Lincoln. Just can't wait.

No cookies, bean flickers, or baked raviolis for Sammich?
actually, I'm gonna be in her hood, but she's in the process of moving.

speaking of, I need a ride to the airport. have to be there at 5:30 on Saturday morning. wanna do a road trip Friday night? :meanie:

(yes there could be cookies involved)

Those would have to be some VERY special cookies. Like ones with Benjamins baked inside.

yeah the whole point is trying to SAVE the Benjamins by not putting the car in long-term parking.

*sigh*

I actually had a ride there (my poor foolish friend), but couldn't get one home on a Sunday afternoon. And then I decided I couldn't do that to my friend. I'll cash in the favor he owes me later on and shell out the cash now. 👍

i know, i'm sad too that we're not going to be there at the same time! 🙁

hope you have a great trip though! 🙂
thanks! :luck: with your big move!

I have been instructed by one of my LOR writers, who went to med school in Boston, that I need to get to La Piccola Venezia and Mike's Pastry in the North End. Can you confirm this is a necessity?

Bunch of defibrillator shocks. :scared:

I'm off to see my doc and just had to send frantic pages to people asking them to cover lymphoma workups, etc. for me today. Man this sucks. 🙁

I can reject both of those theories. Where you really need to go is not Mike's Pastry but in fact Modern Pastry. That's my hood, so trust me on this one. Modern's food is much fresher than Mike's. And as far as restaurants go...I've never eaten at La Piccola Venezia, but I haven't heard rave reviews of it either. My recommendations for restaurants in that area are Giaccomo's (not too expensive but also cash only) and Dom's (a little pricey but EXCELLENT food. Best in the North End hands down).

Morning randomites. I'm headed off for a two-day vacation to the parents house... Going to take a little "me" time and get the hair done and do some visiting. I figure I should soak it up while I can, once I'm home it's fulltime MCAT.

Have a great Friday!!

Interesting. I'll have to let you know where we wind up going. I struggle to think it'll actually be "bad" wherever we go. While I was google-searching, I found a comment about Giaccamo's that there's always a line, but the poster wasn't sure why b/c the food is mediocre at best. I suppose it's to each their own. Also of note is that my LOR writer graduated med school over 10 years ago, so his information could be outdated.

so randomville has been pretty dead 🙄
i guess we're mostly on vacation.
