ive recently been getting into non-fiction, like politics and health related stuff. anyone know any good books?

also, has anyone read let freedom ring by sean hannity??

Is that the guy from Hannity and Colmes? No I haven't read it, I would be interested to read it though.

I read Lies, and the Lying Liars by Al Franken last summer. Yeah he's obnoxious and over the top but parts of the book are actually pretty funny. The only down side is that he accuses the right of stereotyping the left while doing the same to the right, which is annoying.

Has anyone ever read any of the books by Ann Coulter?

"Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" is a great non-ficiton book for pre-meds and med students, its hilarious and really interesting

"House of god" is anther great book, its fiction and set in a hospital called the house of god, funny stuff.

*disclaimer, yeah you're not going to get this unless you've played*
I played forever, I had a 93 Sorc (basic build, orb, meteor, thunderstorm), a 50 something Amazon on hardcore, a 85 weather girl sorc and a ranger build paladin - lvl 60 or something but it's a bad build and he got his butt kicked in hell so I gave up on him. I got bored because I had already done everything and stopped playing. Then my best friend told me about the new quest in v1.11 so I started building another sorc to try and run it with her. She's up to lvl 48 but I haven't played in like a week.

woah, they have a new quest now?!?

must......resist urge....to reinstall game.....

Whoa i go out for a few hours to school and to study, and I become sooooooooooooooooo lost in the conversation taking place.

I'll have to read to through the last two pages again and respond to all of them later.

when he was introduced, our course coordinator asked him how many weeks his book has been on the NY times best seller list and his reply was, "Oh, a few hundred."

thats what i need to do, use my future MD to cash in on some book

i hope he shared some valuable advice about healthy eating and dieting for u guys. maybe im so out of touch with the going-ons in the world, bc i was totally unaware of the diet until yesterday when u told me about it, either that, or its this entire process of applying that has made me into a reclusive hermit that just sits around sdn all day and checks email every 2 minutes :scared:

Yup - if you want to know the gritty details check out diabloii.net but here's the quick version:

You do Countess, Nithalik (whatever his name is) and Diablo runs to get these keys and when you get like 3 of each kind an Uber Diablo, Baal or Mephisto comes out and drops some grand charm thingie, I dunno what it does because we're still on the keys part. Plus my best friend is lvl 90 and she can't even kill an Uber so she's waiting for me to help.

I shouldn't have answered your question because I'm just going to make you want to install the game again. 🙁 If you want to play though, PM me and I can rush you through on bnet.

Hey that diet is out, that's my day to day diet!

Seriously though, I gained like 20 lbs when I lived in Ireland because of all the chips they eat. Since I've moved home I've lost 12 and haven't changed my diet much at all, plus I walk alot less now... so how are we the obese country and not them?

hehehehe. That reminds me of a story my bestest friend told me.

My best friend had this friend from South Florida who was really really skinny. So the skinny girl's dad wanted her to gain some weight. So he made a promise to her that if she should gain weight she would get any car she wanted. So this chick starts eating all sorts of stuff, real fatty things, to hope to gain some weight. But no matter what she did, she did not gain any weight cuz her metabolism was too high. I think her dad knew what he was doing from the start cuz he knew she wouldn't be able to gain any.

Some people have extremely high metabolism, so no matter what they eat, they still end up to remain super skinny.

I wish I was that way.

TO: The Class of 2008
FROM: -----------------
SUBJECT: GIHN Exam 1 - Changed Arrangements
Date: November 3, 2005

We are aware that all members of your class have been under duress during and after Wilma and that the concentrated instruction this week has raised apprehensions about how well you will be able to prepare yourselves for the first GIHN Examination on Monday.

With these considerations in mind, and with the support and agreement of the administration, we will conduct the exam as follows:

1. It will take place as scheduled from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7.
2. It will be an "open book" exam, "open book" being defined as follows:
a) You may bring the Syllabus, the PowerPoints for this week, any handouts distributed by the instructors this week and any handwritten lecture notes you may have made.
b) You may not bring a textbook or any other printed material.
c) No calculators, cell phones or electronic devices are to be on the desks.

The test is multiple choice. There are 74 questions. The percentage scores will be calculated using a denominator of 70.

We hope that this modification of the Exam will make for a less stressful experience.

thanks nikki! i'm so relieved now, they had crammed 2 weeks of material into this week so its been a lot even by med school standards.

i'll still have to study this weekend though, it would be impossible to read, look up, and bubble 74 answers in 2 hours if i didnt

at least you're not drinking soda and the high fructose corn syrup in it. that stuff is poison according to our biochem prof. its half glucose and half fructose and since it was introduced in 1975 the obesity rates in this country have sky rocketed. they dont use it in europe because it would devastate their sugar industry, all their sodas still use sucrose as a sweetener which is what we used before the mid-70's.

Most Washingtonians say "pop". If you say soda, you probably grew up somewhere else.

most of the people who live in miami-dade county were not born in the united states, we are the only county in the US to have that distinction. if i was to start calling it "pop", i guarantee you it would take me twice as long to get a SODA.
