In Oregon there are assisted suicide laws. All of the healthcare providers are exempted from participation if they choose, except for the pharmacist (WTF!?). If I worked there, I would fill one if the legal requirements had been met. I may as well take the burden off of someone who would go into some moral issue spaz attack about it. That would be a bitch of a counsel, though. ****, if someone has a terminal illness and wants to skip the drawn out agony portion, let them. Maybe I'm just biased because I watched my dad deteriorate in a very drawn out way. There are just some times when the rest of one's life is doomed to be the antithesis of quality. If someone wants to be empowered to end their life at or just before that stage, I'd rather they do it together with the medical staff than on their own in the garage with a 12 gauge shotgun. And, I'd rather they go how they want to instead of in sesspool of misery. Hm. I guess I am in favor of assisted suicide. Still, I don't have a problem with other medical personnel opting out.

my dad too, hon. hospice is a good thing. this is too depressing for me right now--i need obscene carrot cake and i need the scores of that test who's name i cannot mention in this thread!!

Well, I have pictures of the carrot cake, and your score of the test not to be mentioned in this thread should be in in 8 hours or so. I will be making peanut butter truffles soon too. It's 2:00pm here and I haven't eaten anything substantial. Time for food.

Correction, possibly 5 hours now.

But again, that evil test is not to be named here, otherwise Dr. Evil may take you to a place far far away in a land far far away.

Carrot cake sounds yummy.

😉 Nah ... I will be having a brew and out for the night. I will want to see my score in the morning either when drunk or when I have had a good nights rest :scared:

I just found a free MCAT prep to apply for disadvantaged students. I'm not disadvantaged but word is that their applicant pool is low so I'm going to apply tomorrow. I have to turn in my tax return though 🙁 They will see I was DEFINTELY disadvantaged for 2004 while working full time 🙁

you still have a lot of time to practice before you retake it R! I know it sucks right now but it doesnt mean you'll never become a doctor.

I got only 20N

how was the breakdown? was this your first time taking it? dont worry, its not that bad, you will achieve your goal eventually 🙂

JustR

I know you are probably really down right now but I know MANY brilliant people who didn't do well on the MCATs (esp the first time) and got into med school with a range of 23-27. Its about the total person and I wish you luck. We'll all be here next year (well I will be taking as well as guju I believe)!

Congrats to all the great scores. SDNers really impress me! Make me jealous that everyone's posting 30+ ... when that really isn't representative of the population.

I did not say so that I won't become a doctor.
it's just that I said it is sad that I got this low scores
and I am so mad for the people who had fooled me around.

and I won't bang on my friendship
and that's just me JustR
