Random Q: How do mice age if they have telomerase activity in somatic cells?

Shortening telomeres are not the only cause of aging, we age for a variety of other reasons as well, like oxidative stress. (lol, just recognized i was in allopathic)

That... or the long telomeres in mice are unprotected, which attract p53 and other tumor suppressors to activate apoptosis. This is replicative senescence.
