if i plan on applying to pharmacy and optometry school at the same time (crazy,i know), but just hypothetical, if i were to get an interview at optometry, since i have experience in pharmacy, and they ask me why i didn't choose pharmacy, should i TELL them that i'm applying to pharmacy as well!? Will that make me look less dediated?

You should probably figure out what YOU really wanna do. If you truly do not have a passion for either profession, it will show in your interview. If you tell the admissions committee that you are also applying to pharm, then they will know for sure that you are not 100% dedicated to optometry.

Applying to both will be a lose-lose situation. From now until you apply you need to figure out what you're passionate about (not just which one of the two you like more, since maybe you'll even find a passion in something outside of pharm or opt.) Once you find the career you're SO excited about, thinking about it everyday, and would work SO hard for, that's the one! 😀 The enthusiasm will show when you go through an interview towards that career you've been so excited for, and the committees will be able to spot it. I'm pretty sure you would not get accepted if you told optometry schools that you're applying to pharmacy schools also. Like others have said, you should figure out what you want first and then concentrate on that route. Pharmacy and optometry are both very difference fields. If you are applying to either because you want good pay, then you're in it for the wrong reason.

Either way, your gpa seems to be too low for acceptance to pharmacy schools or optometry schools anyway. You should probably consider retaking some of the classes to pull up your gpa. To be perfectly honest, I doubt even a perfect OAT score could save you on the day of the interview at optometry schools. Good luck.
