Does your school have a limit of weeks you may spend in an elective? Just curious, thanks!

Yeah it varies a ton. My school has a "No more than 12 weeks in a particular field" limit. Meaning u can only do 12 weeks of surgery... or peds... or IM, etc during 4th year.

My school had a variation on this; you could do whatever as long as you want but could only count a limited amount for credit. You also still had to fulfill your clerkship requisites, meaning students who wanted to do an extra sub-I in ortho for example had to trade in vacation/interview/StepII study time.
