Hi, I am in a 3rd year microbiology course and was wondering if someone could help me with the Entner-Doudoroff pathway?
-Is it correct to say that from 1 glucose molecule Pyruvate +2ATP are made?
-Why does it say that this pathway yields only one mole of ATP per mole of glucose? this is not what the figures show.

any help much appreciated.!

Standard EMP glycolysis will produces 2 net ATP, 2 pyruvate, and 2 NADH

ED pathway produces 1 net ATP, 2 pyruvate, 1 NADH, and 1 NADPH
