Would admission commitees respect complete honesty in applying to Vet school. I have considered Veterinary Medicine in the past as a second career, my first being in Emergency Medicine as a Physician Assistant. I enjoy comparative medicine and frequently read Vet journals as the majority of disease processes in animal and human are relatively similar. I have not strongly considered vet school however because of the cost of attendance with the relatively limited income potential ( I am only considering small animal medicine) with the exception of University of Madison because their out of state tuition is reasonable.
respect: yes
let you in: probably not

Fair enough, i suppose it would be unfair to take a spot in Vet school for a personal interest in place of someone with life long dream. Suppose I could get a Ph.D in comparative medicine and use that knowledge to treat the elderly.....( In the ER taking care of old demented patients is called "Veterinary medicine" because your patients cant tell you whats wrong) Its a joke....

Life long dream vs personal interest is not the problems.

Presenting vet school as a 2nd "choice" is.

To get in, you have demonstrate you are committed to the profession, and will be a meaningful addition to it. If you have a reasonable approach to answer those questions then you have a shot.

I like the elderly joke.

That made me choke up a little actually. You can make fun of me😛 I was sizing my dog for wheels after her sx. Her recovery was slow so we weren't sure if she'd walk again.

And now she runs with me. Albeit slower. But I attribute that to her short little legs as much anything. 😍

My oldest doggie had an unusual break (yes, even for an IG), and wasn't allowed to walk on it for 6 weeks. We got her one of those doggie perambulators... She LOVED it. It was amazing watching such an active dog (at that time) take so easily to being pushed around. Dogs are such live in the moment creatures...I try to learn from them whenever possible!

FYI: She is fine now, as nimble as ever. I definitely think she got more spoiled from that (if that is even possible)..

Although I probably should have posted that in the Drunk Thread. She looks at that more probably.

Urban Dictionary definition of random.

The latest buzzword used amongst mindless teenagers as a way of showing just so utterly irreverent their predictable sense of humour is. Particularly dominant among English teens and University students, the word "random" or the act of being "random" is a desperate plea for others to recognise how totally against the grain of the norm you are and that you're really crazy and out there. Trouble is, being "random" is predictable, boring, *****ic and extremely sad indeed.

So thinking of dying my hair red. I posted a picture in the lounge. I have never dyed my hair before.

My hair is tinted to a red-brown. I have naturally honey-brown hair though so I don't have to worry about upkeep - I dye from a bottle about every 6-8 weeks, sometimes 10 wks lol.

I don't know how that works for a blonde. Are you thinking red-brown like the Emma Stone pics or more carroty/fair skin red?

Yeah nevermind I found it....

Thanks.... love it... do it! 😀

Emma Stone red is what I am thinking and out of a box because I don't want permanent. My hairdresser and I are playing phone tag. She has always said she refuses to color my hair. She is a GREAT colorist. She is the best at correcting colors, so I know I am good for when I want to go back to blonde. I called to ask for color suggestions on what is the best temp dye and how to shoot for that color.

As a fellow blonde :hello:.... careful what you put in your hair. Just because it's "not permanent" doesn't mean it wont stay on those blonde locks :meanie:. I ran into this problem with red hair spray stuff one halloween :uhno:

Everyone refuses to die my hair too... hence the reason I have never colored or highlighted my hair in my entire life. 🙁

Same here. Blonde must be sacred  Newer products seems to be pretty good but yeah I had pink hair from non-permanent spray for 3 weeks 😀

My hair is weird, it has like 47 different colors in it. Mostly I have blonde to strawberry blonde hair with blonde highlights.

Yeah I get refused for "Do you know how many people come to me wanting your hair color???"

So when I was 14 (?) I tried to dye my hair one shade darker (the true only time I tried to dye my hair), then it would be a light brown. My hair rejected it for the most part. It looked the exact same to me, but one of my guy friends commented that my hair color looked different.

I really hope my hairdresser has some good suggestions. I mean I am on the darker end of blonde, so hopefully it will color.
