😱 :uhno: I remember my senior year of high school (in Oklahoma) we got a couple days off school because the highs were in the single digits, not accounting for wind chill. There wasn't any snow or ice, they just decided it was too cold for kids to be standing at the bus stop.

I like snow, but not when I have to drive in it. Right now they're calling for snow here on Saturday, and I'm supposed to drive home for break on Monday, but the forecast is just for 1-3" so that should be plenty of time for the highways to be cleared. :xf: Luckily I live a mile away from school, so if we get a big snowstorm next semester but classes aren't canceled, I can just walk.
 
I just calculated what I need on my final tonight for an A and scared myself silly. I somehow forgot one component, so my total score was under by 90, and it looked like there was no way I could get higher than a B. :scared: Figured it out, corrected my math, and suddenly I can breathe again. Hehe.

I was all set to buy a toasted marshmallow today, only to discover that the giant mattress pad aisle at Costco has like seven different varieties of non-heated mattress pads and not a single heated one.

I'm much more disappointed than I would have guessed. :/

Amazon is the most amazing thing. You can impulse shop and it magically arrives so quickly! Prime is well worth the fee to me. And now that they have amazon pantry I don't really even have to go to the store for those staples very often. I can get my groceries at Publix and just avoid Walmart all together.

Prime Now does horrible things for my propensity to be a recluse...
 
Highly recommend Moana as well, it was fantastic!!

Fantastic Beasts just didn't do it for me. Meh, I don't know. Maybe it was the hype

Okay but this weather thing though. tomorrow, the high is going to be 75. There's a chance for storms and tornadoes. the next morning, it'll be 21. a 50 degree swing. 😡

Agreed! And there was a character named Lyra! (Pronounced differently though, I've always thought of my username as "Lie-ruh" after the main character from His Dark Materials) I still need to see Moana.

I didn't realize you had caught up!
I thought when they got rid of Demon!Dean after like 3 episodes I would never be as mad at the writers as I was then. I was wrong. CHARLIE DESERVED BETTER. ok, end rant.

I got dragged onto that boat by my freshman year roommate. Totally hooked now even though Grey's is the most dramatic show ever and there are probably more HIPAA violations per episode in that show than there were in the entire country last year.

Still love it though. 😍

I feel the same way about all of the above.

I was also kind of frustrated by the way Charlie was treated by the writers in general, though. I think it's no big secret that SPN has kind of a problem with writing women well, and I was frustrated that Charlie was a lesbian because in the show it always read like the writers made her a lesbian so there was a 100% justifiable reason for her to not be a love interest of either of the Winchesters. It never felt like an honest and respectful portrayal of lesbians and it always sort of felt off to me.

I also honestly can't remember the last time they had an adult woman on the show who wasn't an auto-love-interest for either one of them (or automatically disqualified from being an auto-love-interest by virtue of being gay) and I was always frustrated by it.

Plus, there's also the issue that something like 60+% of the things that have touched Sam's penis will die within the next episode. Honestly, his dick should be classified as a cursed object at this point.

Even the Darkness, one of the most powerful beings in the universe, just had to have a thing for Dean
. But there is Detective Mills 🙂 though of course every time she's in an episode I keep expecting her to die.

But yes, definitely with you on the "expecting them to die every time they're on screen" thing. Sometimes I wonder if the writers have ever seen a women in the wild before or if they just assume they all stop existing as soon as you stop looking at them anymore lol.

Haha it's cool, I did too years ago until I realized the HDM character (and the constellation) are supposed to be pronounced Lie-ruh. But either way works.
 
I don't even know what thread to put this in because there is no thread that describes this...

So yesterday was the most insanely-unbelievable day of work ever. A client accidentally hit the gas instead of the break while pulling into a parking spot outside of our building and drove her car into our waiting room. No joke. It's is an absolute miracle that nobody was injured/killed.😱
 
I cannot get in on this supernatural chat yet as gf and I are only on season 9. But we are making our way through!

I got caught up only within the last week. Then I started my ER rotation and have spent more time at the school this week, so no Netflix time.

Once I figure out how to do that spoiler thing, I'll join the SPN discussion! Lol

If you hit the button that looks like a little flag (though I think it's supposed to be a paragraph), it should pop up with quote, spoiler, code, and strike-through. You can either hit the spoiler button and type within the spoiler tags or type first, select what you want to be hidden, and then hit the spoiler button. Or you can do it manually - the beginning tag is [SsPOILER] and the ending tag is [/SsPOILER] - but spelled correctly, I did it wrong so it would show up.

I loved Meg. Absolutely adore her. That was the worst death for me because I appreciated that she was so smitten with Cas as I'm a sucker for cute love stories right now. When she said, "Go save my unicorn," I was practically balling.

Lol I didn't know there were buttons to click. I was just using the code haha.
 
Can't say I quite agree with the angle the SPN people are taking this season, but hopefully they bring back more of the MotW
