Haha! I know a girl irl who's name is Summer Storm. Her sister is River Song, but in Spanish/French.

My name is not half so interesting. It has the same spelling in French and German, but slightly different pronunciations, both of which I'm fine with. (I prefer the French, only because that's what my family uses). The masculine version of my name is spelled differently, but 99% of my teachers have pronounced it the masculine way when doing role. Which is irritating as hell. 😡

Ugh. I get that. My first name has a masculine and feminine way of spelling it but they are pronounced the same. I swear half of the time someone asks my name, they write it down as the male spelling.
 
I've had a couple times where I've gotten friend requests and I know it's someone from SDN because of mutual friends but they've never posted a pic or anything and they don't send me a message saying who they are...so there are a few people who are on my friend list and I have no idea who they are :laugh:
 
I keeping seeing people show up who are obviously SDN'ers but since I don't know your first names, I have no idea who anyone is! I'm matching by school for some, but others.. no clue.
 
I only added people if I was able to figure out who they were haha.

My last name is Wagner (there's a hint, stalkers!) and I had one European philosophy professor in undergrad who, every single day, would hardcore pronounce it "VAUGGGNER."

I never corrected her. It amused me every damn class. :laugh:

I've been fb stalking all y'all. There's like 2 ppl who have everything private and their profile pic is of some random object or animal though. But I still know who you are 😉
 
I haven't really attempted to maintain any anonymity on here, especially since it's pretty easy to guess my first name and everybody can see my school and class. Once you know that, you've narrowed it down to three people in my class. I imagine the other personal details I've mentioned from time to time would make it pretty easy after that.

Fortunately, I doubt I'm a big stalking target (unless somebody's thinking "I need to find out who that jerk is so I can avoid him...").

Also, I was a SDN member well before FB. I only joined FB due to the constant harping from my PennWe V14ers. Apparently it is not possible to go through vet school without being on FB. Since leaving vet school FB is 90% for pics of my furry friends, and 10% for aviation. And these days I don't post as many pics as I used to.

I only know who bats and Pinkpuppy are thanks to APVMA. Though I don't think that's much of an accomplishment, and I haven't actually friended either of them. Because I'm shy, lol.

Oh, and I think I've found Trilt thanks to the clue she gave above. Honestly, my real name isn't too hard to figure out from my username, and my anonymity went out the window a little bit back, anyway. 😉

I want some SDN buddies! Feel free to PM me!
 
Someone friended me and I don't which of you did.

Also, as I get to know more and more people in my life, I'm extremely tempted to connect two people that look like they could be siblings/twins. Am I alone here? There are a few people in my class that look really darn similar to other people I know. It makes me have to pause for a second and make sure I'm saying the right name.

Same. And I found one girl on here that I was already Facebook friends with because she used to go to my dance studio, but she's not a regular on here and I haven't actually talked to her in about ten years, so I haven't actually said anything. 😛

I feel like most of us aren't against being added on facebook. For most of us, anonymity is practically out the window (heck, funny story, I signed up originally on here with my facebook profile, which sparked a huge discussion on anonymity and all that jazz). I promise we don't bite, so long as we aren't playing WW 😛

Someone also friended me and I have nooooo clue who it is.... Though not adverse to new friends.
 
I hardly ever actually "use" facebook. Never wanna delete it or anything since I need it for things like staying in contact, messaging, local sales groups, and school-related stuff (came in handy for undergrad group projects), but otherwise I just browse and enjoy the cesspool that is my feed. I don't really post much these days because it can be embarrassing (family members and random people-from-high-school EVERYWHERE!), not to mention the fact that I joined back in 09 so the depths of my timeline are filled with really freaking embarrassing statuses and such from high school. Gotta go double check that I privated all that 😛

I'm always trying to clean out my friends list of all the people-from-town that I don't actually know who clog my feed, but there's just so many. I recently changed my pic to my bunnies because my previous one was so OLD and bad but I don't have any better pics of myself.
Facebook just feels a bit more ""formal"" than many other social networks I'm on, so I feel like I can't just post silly things all the time lest professionals or old relatives come looking. the struggle is real.

I'm the same way. I was just looking through my pictures, and most are embarrassingly bad and from high school. I mostly use it as a time killer and way to keep track of high school friends. I almost never post there.

My co-workers are all on our hospital page, but almost no one ever updates it. I hate being in charge of it - I feel like I'll accidently post something weird or do something that well reflect poorly on the hospital. So the page is mostly just cute dog pictures, posted sporadically when I think about it.

My maiden name would fit into this theme. So many people try to complicate the spelling, but the whole thing could be pulled out of a dictionary.
 
I just had a random friend request from someone I don't know on FB and was impressed and freaked out if one of you guys managed to find me when I'm not on the APVMA fb page or anything. Then realized it was just from some random person in my class and was a little disappointed someone didn't have major stalking skills.

(actually it really wouldn't be that hard to narrow me down if you can access the class fb page, but still)

Mine are like this too, actually just had the "on this day" thing pop up today and one of my posts was like the above. I also have a bunch of posts from way long ago when it was common to write on someone's wall as a conversation method. So I can see what the person wrote me but not what I was saying back to them, just super odd now.
