Hey all,

I have a few questions about the post-interview process at UPenn (I interviewed there back in November).

Does anybody know how much weight UPenn places on the interview? More or less than at other schools?

Also, does anybody know how exactly it works post-interview there? Do sub-committees re-review your file and then decide if it goes to a 'final round,' or is there just one final review?

Does the adcom re-review your entire file before making decisions?

I apologize if some of these questions sound stupid, but I know different schools do things differently and I was wondering how UPenn went around its business. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'd like to know all of that too. Looking forward to seeing responses on this thread.

I'm pretty curious how it all works myself.

I would hope that the interviews count for a lot there, I was interviewed by a Dept head (haha, lucky for me, I didn't know who he was until after the interview when I got his business card, otherwise I would have been ever more nervous), and I'd think such people wouldn't take an hour out of there day to talk to me and then just have it not really matter? I've also heard that Penn is a big "fit" school from some people who go there, so maybe that implies that they weight the interview a little more heavily? Who knows...it's all just a mystery to me 🙁

I'm not even sure how I managed to get an interview since all the other kids who interviewed seemed to be in the 36+ MCAT group, heh. But I"m definitely keeping my fingers crossed for good news come March. My student interviewer was a really cool 4th year that said wonderful things about Penn, and of all my student interviews, I feel like I clicked here the most. I'm going to be so sad when I get rejected.

Anybody know what the waitlist movement for Penn is like?
