What school and what engineering major? I know Chem E is harder than biochem, but environmental engineering isn't any harder than communcations or history/poli sci.

You're probably a troll. You can't rank majors. They differ too much from school to school. And everyone has strengths and weaknesses and what might be hard for some people is probaby easier for others and vice versa.

Also, what the heck is the diff between BS and BA in Bio?

I have never even heard of a BA in bio. 😕

The school where I go, everything is A.B. (Arts Bachelor), so I have an A.B. in biochemistry and an A.B. in physics (!).

I'd venture to say that BS and BA are the same difficulty, because, ba probably requires more liberal thinking classes (difficult for some), and bs probably requires more hard science classes (also difficult for some).

I think its impossible to rank for everyone, but i'd rank personally this way.

Easiest to hardest (for me)

Biology
Biochemistry
Economics
Chemistry
History
Engineering

Ps. I'm doing microbiology

I'm not sure about this .... someone correct me if I'm wrong: I thought Berkeley only awards BS to engineering students, other majors (including physics, mcb, etc...) will be awarded BA

the univ. of Texas, Austin hands out BAs in Bio.

*edit* And I chose that degree because I wanted college to be more than bio, chem, physics, botany. I mean, I love science and all, but one must make room for elements of a Classic education.

I guess what is hard for one person is easy for another... Eventhough there are a lot of things that are difficult for all of us..(like getting off SDN and studying for finals 😀

Interesting! I have only heard of a BS in bio. I need to get out of my little UCLA bubble.

Yeah every school is different. At my undergrad, the difference between a BA in Bio and BS in bio was two classes. Princeton on the other hand only hands out ABs, except for engineering, B.Eng. You can't sit there and compare majors. No body gives two drops of monkey urine about what you major in, so just do something you like.

🙄 Rank them from least to most difficult? Your list has already done that.
