Well, mine's certified, but since there aren't many McGill grads applying to US EM programs, I'll refrain from posting until the 25th.

I applied to programs in the northeast, and a couple in the south.

It seems like last year, ROLs were freely posted. Wonder why this year is so different. I am simply trying to figure out where to rank each program and as soon as I do, I will return. Does anyone remember the website that EMRA set up about each program?

Last year people waited until after the program deadline. Call us nervous, but we don't want to blow our chances at a program because we didn't rank it highly enough. There are people with influence who frequent the forums.

OOOOOooooooooo. First person shooters....

I haven't played 2004 but I played the hell outta the original. The older I get the more I realize I am never going to outgrow my video game obesssion. Maybe just not have as much time for them.....

Here is my list....in no particular order

GW, Duke, Emory, Orlando, Wash U, Grand Rapids, Penn State

I will not rank Alb. Einstein (Pa)- I would rather open a vein or even do Psych than go there. Philly is a hole and aside from the ED the hospital is too. The residents I met were about as interesting as watching grass grow....esp one of the 4th years.

Wow...one of our best attendings here at Duke was a resident at Einstein...go figure!

I would, but I really didn't interview anywhere that I'd be disappointed to end up. There were a couple that came close, but I left 'em on just for the heck of it. Who goes lower than #5 anyway, right? And if I did, I'd rather not have to face the scramble.

I'll let you guys know if I decide to knock a couple of them off.

One month away!!! Ok 29 days but who's counting. I've only seen one person list my #1 (U of Chicago)...I don't know how to feel about that. I thought it was a great program, is there something I should know :scared:

Yep, you should know that of the extremely limited sample of applicants here, no one enjoyed the program as much as you did.

Thankfully for me, none of the men my wife dated before I proposed to her, loved her as much as I do. Married now, couldn't be happier! Get the point?

It makes sense I?m just getting paranoid at this point.

Does anyone else have insomnia ... or am I the only one who can't sleep at night until match day??? 😳 😴

With all the free time that you SHOULD be having as a fourth year, I would highly recommend 0.1-0.2 oz 40% ETOH/kg loading dose, followed by 3-4 oz 40% ETOH q2 until:
A) 300-400 cc/hr urine output
B) Begin posting inebriated posts on SDN
C) Pass out
D) Order pizza

Q, DO

Freaking Classic Q!! I love it!

I might up that to a maintenace infusion prior to match day. Either that or a sliding scale based on anxiety.

Just remember that >50% of US grads get their top choice, and >75% get one of their top 3 choices.

Quake Tournament got me through most of pre-match jitters, actually. Millions of electronic representations of people had to die in order to calm my nerves.

That being said, I prefer my EtOH infusions PO PRN. Q10-30 min. And if I'm putting out a liter of urine every 2 hours like Q wants, you'd better put a damn Foley in me.

Try the Far Cry demo... Awesome game...

I'm in . . . .

I have chosen to alphabatize in the

Double-Secret Probation Edition
(in honor of Animal House and the simpler times of college . . .)

basically, alphabatized by the 2nd letter in each name, ohhhhhh, with top 3 well hidden in the mix!

Maryland
UCI
UCLA
Jefferson
Penn
Beth Israel Deaconess
Christiana
Loma Linda
Cooper Hospital - UMDNJ Camden
Hopkins
Drexel

Um, that's a pretty dorky (not to mention paranoid) way to do it, man. And considering this is SDN, that is saying a lot. 🙄

Nah, you got to give him style points  !

In fact, he reminded me to make a last-minute addition to my ROL...

11. Faber College School of Medicine EM Residency.

Go Delta!

Excellent! I hope to be meeting you in the summer. I?m looking forward to the flight program and all the current residents seem to be a great group of people.
Good luck.
👍

As the sig says, I'm just a lowly tech with delusions of grandeur, but I will buy a beer for anyone from SDN who matches to the program where I happen to work. Maybe even a burger at Hubert's.

(Unless I'm already off to my premed post-bac program, in which case I'll just wave fondly as we pass.)

Good luck, you cwazy wabbits.
