1. Physiology
2. Histology
3. Anatomy
4. Immunology
5. Neuroscience
6. Developmetal Anatomy
7. Microbiology
8. Biochemistry

I know differences exist between schools, but I still would like to see what other people have loved/hated.

Studying for Biochem and Micro is like memorizing the phonebook. I'm sure these subjects will move up the list when I get to the clinical years, but right now they suck. I can't see how physiology wouldn't top everyones list. That class is so awesome.

1. Anatomy
2. Physiology
3. Immunology
4. Biochem/Molecular Biology
5. General Pathology
6. Epidemiology
7. Embryology
8. Histology

I broke out some of the classes with very different componets:

1) Evidence-based medicine
2) Physiology
3) Immunology
4) Embryology
5) Genetics
6) Cell Bio
7) Anatomy
7a) Exam skills
8) Histology
9) Case-based learning
10) Biochem
11) Neuroscience

Foundations of Clinical Practice I & II consisted of EBM, exam skills, CBL, etc. Human Organ Systems was physiology & histology. And, embryo was part of anatomy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm bleeding from my anus! 🙂

I have this key chain. I *love* bitter filems.

I loved immuno, renal physiology, anatomy, histo and clinical skills.

hated nuerophys, biochem, epidemiology and biostats. PHarm was middle.

So hard to rate which classes I hate the least. I basically hate them all.

First year classes I can't stand:

1. Anatomy (HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT; and we have a YEAR of this horror)
2. Phys (esp. renal)
3. OMM (I'm at a DO school)

Classes that I can tolerate:

1. Physical Diagnosis
2. Public Health
3. Micro/Immuno
4. Neuro
5. PBL

Love: anatomy, clinical medicine

deal with: physiology, histology, neuro, nutrition

hate: biochemistry

haven't taken yet: genetics

1. neuroscience
2. physiology
3. biochemistry

let's face it everything else sucked horribly.

You are at a DO school and you hate OMM? Shame on you. 🙂

I hated EVERYTHING first year. If I had to chose which one I hated the least, I would have to go with Biochemistry.

In order of most suckiest to least suckiest:

1. Biochemistry
2. Physiology
3. Nutrition
4. Anatomy
5. Neoroscience
6. Histology/Embryology
7. Clinical Medicine

1 Best

1. Neuroscience
2. Cell Biology
3. Ethics
4. Anatomy
5. Critical Thinking
6. Human Behavior
7. Physiology
8. Biochemsitry

8 Worst

Can't help but see this thread and post:

Classes ranked in order of awesome to decent.

Classes I like:

1) Problem Based Learning (36 credits, alot of fun group-directed learning, great dean: Just flat out the best decision I ever made for my education. Made learning fun again. The only downside are a couple of the gunnerific students who need a few valium added to their daily diet.)
2) Anatomy (poorly organized, hard as hell, but still learning alot).
3) Physical Diagnosis (love working in the clinic, hate lecture but they recently alleviated this problem by making it more PBL oriented)
4) OMM Lab (Some of the OMM stuff is actually cool and useful. It's fun practicing on each other)

Classes I am indifferent to:

OMM lecture: Make it 9AM instead of 8AM and I will show up. Otherwise, I will continue reading the lecture notes and just apply the concepts in lab. 🙂

And that's all the classes I have...but

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Subject I would hate to have a year long class in the most:

Biochemistry: I am so thankful I don't take a class in this. Some biochemistry is useful but alot has little to no practical application. I'll take less fluff and more substance anyday. When Aunt Bessie is tanking on the table, I dont have time to be playing "Follow the electron" instead I'll be pushing the Lasix knowing what it does. 🙂

*Note: Some of ya love biochemistry, and that's cool. It just aint for me!
