How would you rank the following:

Ackerman.
MGH.
UCSF.
Duke.
UVA.
MSKCC-Cornell.
Anderson.
UVA.
NYU.
Penn.
Baylor.

What are your criteria? How would you define "best"? Of all of those if I was doing dermpath I would rather go to MGH, UCSF, or UVA. I would gouge my eyes out before I went to Ackerman, and would make sure I had a major supply of painkillers before going to NYU because I can't understand a word that Kamino says.

Why did you pick those programs and leave off so many other good ones?

Which are the other good ones in your opinion?
Why that opinion about Ackerman's?

I think those are all good programs that would train you well. I'm not a dermpather so I don't really know that much, a lot of it comes down to who you want to train with and where. If you want to go into academics you might be better suited at a big name academic program like Harvard or UCSF, but so many dermpathers want to go into private practice that finding an academic job is not usually that hard.

Out of curiosity If u r a pvt practice attending why are u interested in the ranking of seemigly random but elite derpath programs

you would be surprised at the number of practicing pathologists who pay their own way thru Dermpath fellowship programs in order to expand their repertoire...They most often have been reading skin slides for years but now the insurance companies/dermatologists want board certified or fellowsip trains DP's to read their slides. They might also be considering opening thier own little Pod lab...

I think you would be remiss to not consider UT Houston (Rapini) if you are considering the 2 other Houston programs (Anderson and Baylor). UTMB is also nearby in Galveston and Dr. Sanchez runs a very nice fellowship there as well. Just my 2 cents.
