Today I finally found my suit for the interview at Jcrew. Shopping can be very theraputic. It's especially beneficial when you're using your dad's credit card rather than your own 🙂

I'm so nervous about the big schools i'm applying to because I have not heard back from them for interview invites...I turned in my secondaries for awhile back. So far I only have 3 California school interviews. Where are all of my top choices? I just want to cry out of frustration, fear, and anger. If anyone has heard back from Yale, Harvard, WashU, Dartmouth, Hopkins for interviews...please email me!

I have to say that this is a pretty obnoxious post. Most people would be really happy with 3 california school interviews at this point and your post is rather insensitive to those californians who won't receive any in there home state.

I got my suit from a Brooks Brothers outlet at a really great price. The only school you listed that I applied to was Dartmouth. I have not heard from them yet. I am a New York resident and I am hoping to either get into Stony Brook or Downstate for financial purposes. However, if I get into Dartmouth, that would be difficult for me to pass up.

sheez, women, brilliant or beautiful, still manage to kick men in the balls as wives/daughters. i feel for ur pops if ur shopping at j.crew cause that ultra platinum is gonna be murda-- sho wish pops gave me some clang in the pockets but nope, all i get is some leather whuppins while princess gets the benz, suxs i tell ya. okay so my rants over. top that miss bubbly pants j.crew.

Hey you guys !

PR - I know you're nervous and freaked but I guess we all are as well. Your rant is justified. It's just that alot of people still haven't heard anything either (myself included) and so maybe it's still a great thing that you have the 3 from the Caly schools.

It's still early days and schools are way swamped with applications and LORs. Most of my schools still haven't matched my LORs with my application and they say they have two piles - one for incoming secondaries and one for the letters.

It may be a while yet ...

I have been in review for a couple of weeks to some schools. Should I start wondering about rejection letters?
Also, I'm done with my secondaries to all my schools, but my LORs are not matched with the secondaries yet.
I have nothing to do right now, just sit and wait, and I am getting really scared every day.
When do schools start sending out rejections?

Depends on the school. Some may reject you as soon as they cash your check *cough BU coughcough*, others won't until the very end of their acceptance cycle. And everything inbetween. My understanding is that interviews can be ranked by MCAT score, so certain schools will give out their interviews earlier to people with higher scores, etc. But the system is highly variable, and certainly not all schools will go about their process in the same ways. If you really want to know about a particular school, you should probably look at info from the admissions office or ask your premed advisor. Good luck!

Congrats on your three California med school interviews.....what an honor and a big accomplishment!!!! Be happy with that and don't worry about the other schools......they will respond in due time. 🙂

P-ton rocks,

I wouldn't worry too much about not getting secondaries right away. From my experience last year, some schools are pretty slow about processing, and may not get back to you for a month or two. The timing of my interviews didn't end up correlating at all with where I got in (for non-rolling schools).
