*sigh*
I may have to build a shed outside to keep all the food I'll have by Spring....

Happy now????

Thats what the guest room closet is for. I have about 110 lbs of Purina stockpiled in there... saving for a rainy day 🙂
It takes my 25lb dog a longggg time to go through a 37lb bag of food. But I refuse to not take free things.

But I refuse to not take free things.

Exactely!

Although TT can attest, there REALLY isn't space in my house for storing things since we have a grand 625 sq. feet for the four of us (husband, me, dogs) Doesn't matter - it's FREE!!!

I got everything accomplished that I planned for this weekend. Hahaha. Studied for my math quiz and caught up with two weeks of chemistry notes. In which class I am still going strong by the way. Lol. I am very proud of myself and my 96 or something GPA in there after almost failing chem in high school. :]

The boyfriend will be moving here in January! He'll be starting some coursework through a Master's and will hopefully gain admission to the PhD program for the fall. That means we'll be able to be together for the rest of vet school! I'm so excited that we will only have been long distance for one semester and that we will be living together! 😀

He also surprised me while I was in class today by making me lots of pasta that can be frozen and eaten at another time. He left an hour ago but it's tolerable since I know there are only 3 more months that we have to do the LDR thing!!!!! 😍😀🙂

My rave-o-the-day is that I came home from work and when I walked into the hallway of my house it smelled like burning. I thought my house was on fire or something, and it turned out the stupid compact fluorescent bulb had burned out and was producing the burning smell. So...yay for no house fire! 👍

lol, i love how that's a rave. i wish my outlook on life was as "glass if half full" as yours.

Had a mostly good day today. It was my day off so I hung up the hammock and read outside for a little while. Then, I finally managed to get my license worked out with the state of GA (so I am licensed in both the states I have paid for now!). Finally, I got a 1944 quarter with my change today. It's pretty cool looking and apparently made mostly of silver.

I made a 100 on that calc quiz! 😱 Finally getting better in there..

Hey! Great!!👍:highfive: See, all that worrying over nothing😉
I have been feeling really well the past couple days. I am hoping this is an upward trend and that I am not posting this too soon.... :xf:😀
Hooray! I can only imagine what you're going through. I went through a 10 day period of what I think you're going through and it was the worst time of my life. Glad you are getting better!

Got my first shipment of free dog food today!! It's so awesome seeing something that big show up on your porch and knowing you didn't pay a cent for it. Even my girlfriend got excited hahaha

Had two great interviews this week! One for a receptionist position (where the two interviewers actually told me I had the best answer they had heard so far for one of their questions!) and one for an assistant position (where we ended up having a discussion about squirrels because the tech helping with the interview had to admit she loves squirrels when I mentioned how I strongly dislike them).

And both interviewers said they were planning to call/email everyone they interviewed. Makes me SO happy. Even if I don't get the job, it is so nice to know that instead of wondering if they just haven't decided yet or the process got held up or who knows.

Also, after riding bareback on Monday after not having ridden without stirrups since May, I can walk normally again! Definitely a wake-up call over how much weaker I've gotten riding over the summer.

I love this thread. Reading through it made me smile & enjoy the quick break from working on my supplementals 🙄 (So much better than the latest news of FB 😀). Within a few hours I should be able to "rave" that all of my applications have been completed!

Just got back from seeing The Lion King 3D with the g/f and some vet school friends 😍
i'm thinking about going to see it tomorrow with my mom to celebrate the (near) end of my vet school apps 🙂 and i LOVE lion king. i'm sort of obsessed with disney...tangled was awesome 😍

Was able to catch a no collar dog running straight down the road today (she had like 4 cars driving slowly behind her). And she sat still while my friend scruffed her til Animal Control got there. So glad she didn't get hit!

Both of my teams won today! Geaux Tigers and WOO PIG SOOIE!

My condolences to A&M on the loss and future in the SEC :/

There's two adorable kittens in my apartment and they make me happy!

No one snatches defeat from the jaws of victory quite like the Aggies. 🙄

I was finally brave enough to ask for an application to apply as a student manager at work. It involves a greater number of hours next semester at work, but also greater pay, which I can really need. And a great addition to future resumes and applications. 🙂

I got some of the free stuff I won today, ISU received all my application stuff including my check, my grandpa sent me an unexpected letter via snail mail which are always unintentionally hilarious because of his choice of words, I planted my betta tank and it looks awesome, and my parents said I can get on of the kittens that came to visit me this weekend. It's been a pretty awesome day. Now to study for virology...

Amanda Knox was just set free! She was found guilty of slander, given time served and will be released from prison as soon as the out processing is complete. 😀😀😀😀

My O-Chem professor, who is notoriously stodgy and cranky, and who is very forthcoming with criticism but not so much with compliments, wrote "Excellent Analysis!" on my last lab report. With the exclamation point and all. Either it really was that good, or maybe he got lucky this weekend.

Either way, I'll take it.

it feels so good to be done with VMCAS. i'm sure my fellow 2016ers can agree with me 🙂
on top of that, i finished my physics lab report in less than an hour and all i did all day was nap, eat, and watch TV 😀

My boss just gave me a new weekend job! Categorizing wine bottles for 20 bucks an hour, plus watching over his two pooches! I'd say that's easy money. Too bad its probably going towards the rest of my supplementals 😡

THIS IS AMAZING! even though it's med students, thats a pretty good recreation of our everyday life!!!

OMG! Thank you so much for posting this. Best 9 minutes I've had today by a LONG shot! 'Just put it in like a Foley'... 😆 The best part? Those 5 look a lot like my latest band of med school 'goons'. This group is lamenting about their bench research? Wait until their basic research rotation! I actually had to whip out my 'I am woman; and you WILL hear me roar if I catch your ass doing this'. Going to be an interesting couple of months... Think I'll keep this little gem handy, just in case. I see a little cerebellum of a man...

On the topic of med school spoofs... if I get in, this is how I'm announcing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaIN-hvZKa0

(And on a related note... maybe a two years ago, somebody posted this really adorable video of a person who had just gotten a vet school acceptance and was pretty much rolling on the floor happy/crying talking on the phone. I've tried to find it a couple times because it made me smile, but haven't had any luck. Anyone remember it?

EDIT: 20 minutes of intensive google searching later, I found it! aww).

Jemapellejane-I noticed your cute newfie puppy a few weeks ago. I have 2 newfies myself, both females (one isblack w/white chest and a little white on toes, 16 months old,the other is landseer 10 months old). My newfies don't stay clean for long, especially the landseer. Is yours still a puppy? My landseer had a white spot on her forehead, too, when she was little, but now it's all but disappeared. Aren't newfs the best?

Yeah! I responded to you in a different thread- can't remember which one. My picture is actually a random one from the internet, but it looks a lot like my girl did. Mine is black with a white chest patch. She is 5 now! I've had her since she was 8 weeks. She's 110 lbs- a small newf! They really are the best. I LOVE them!!! 😍

Ooop, sorry. I didn't see the other response in the other thread. Glad to see another newfie person. My older one (16 mos.) is just 100 lbs. now. The 10-month old is only about 90. I think they'll put on more weight, though. They are "in training" these days. We've got a CGC and one leg towards a C.D. We're working toward TDI so I can take them to visit hospitals and nursing homes. Everyone loves them wherever we go...and I take them almost everywhere with me (I even bought a new car, a station wagon to fit them in).

Just booked a flight home to Virginia the weekend my sister, who lives in Alaska, will be there! My Mom never gets to have all three of her daughters at home anymore (one still lives in the area), so we are keeping it a surprise. So excited! I'll also get to spend time with my boyfriend while at home😍

I dominated my endocrinology test and got and A on my parasitology test even though I thought I failed. Plus it's fall break!!

It's fall break for me, too! I shall be SUPER PRODUCTIVE!!! And I will clean all the things! (namely my house)😀

I got shots today and survived! 😀 I seriously hate getting shots and today I had to get a TB test and a tetanus shot. I was *so* scared and talking my new friend's ear off and she was so nice and supportive and totally helped me through it. Another one of my new friends saw I was disappointed I got a plain band-aid instead of a smiley face one so she drew a smiley-face on my band-aid =) Have I mentioned my new friends are awesome?

P.S. The shot didn't hurt at all-the TB test was actually worse!

At least you can sympathize with your patients. 🙂 I'm not afraid of needles, so I can't. lol.

I get to do 2 kitty neuters next weekend through a shelter med wet lab! It'll be my first surgery everrrrrr. If only I could stop watching the neuter videos and study for my embryology exam that's on Monday! 🙄

My group gave our Structure and Function presentation today and I think it went really well. I surived the 5 hour drive home and now I'm at Dad's house, ready for the long weekend. And I've just eaten homemade gingerbread with whipped cream. 😍

I just came back from watching a clinic with Lucinda Green! She's been in the olympics a few times, won the Badminton Horse Trials six times, won the Tony Collins Trophy seven times and so on. She is an amazing cross country rider! I had such a great time! Seven hours of watching her train other people and I learned so much!

And come on! Who else has their own video game! 😎

Mary King has a video game too 😛

Very cool pic and awesome that you got to watch the clinic! 😀

91% on first O-chem exam!!!! 😀😀😀

"Methods of studying breast motion in sports bras: a review"

Found while researching sports in Finland... giggled like a ten year old boy. 😀

Working interview for an assistant job at a clinic/boarding place tomorrow morning. So excited! Totally loved the place and everyone I met there last time, so really hoping this goes well. :xf:

I can finally focus on chem again. I've had a hard time focusing for a while, but it's back now. It's going slow with the understanding and I only have until tuesday morning til my test, but I'll get it.. 😉

Also, I found out Enrique Iglesias is coming here! Looking for tickets right now! 😀

I did really well on my physiology exam! 😀 I was super nervous for it and was kinda feeling bummed that none of my studying paid off for anatomy last week. At least I'm good at something!

Also I made red velvet cookies tonight (only kind of worked, but still taste good), and am going to go ride my horse for the first time SINCE JULY!!!!!!

A little break from exam onslaught, a healthy horse, and some good food. Mmm I'm a happy Breenie.
