Speaking of April Fool's pranks... the receptionist at work thought I was pulling a prank on her today when I wasn't. She is new to the workplace (has been there for around a month). I asked her if she would miss me when I left for vet school in Scotland and she basically did not believe me at all. She thinks it is a complete April Fool's joke. I think she might believe me now but she is still very hesitant.

The BF loves milk and cookies. It was my first time trying what a cluster (seriously, you HAVE TO TRY IT!) but I love half baked, chunky monkey, Bonnard's Buzz, brownie batter, creme brulee, and coffee heath bar crunch .... mmmmmmmmmmm😍

HOLY CRAP 😱 I just now remembered that I turned off my fridge and freezer 9 hours ago when I was cleaning it out!!!! Thank goodness we were talking about ice cream or I would have been PISSED in the morning! Especially since I just went to the grocery store today! Phew~!!!

42 hours at new job this week?
+ MONEY heck yes.
+ Learning so much, and it is super fascinating. I'm still in awe that I got such a perfect job. 😀 My technical skills are going to be beastly at the end of the summer. But...

- Um. 42 hours at work. I'm a full time student. And this was with leaving a couple hours early on an overnight shift! sheesh. My hours will drop once I'm done training, but ouch on my sleep schedule and all the homework/tests last week.

The balls needed more rum flavor. And a creamier base. Like in a Spumoni.

and on a more random note, the anatomy exam we had on Friday had a special twist to it: if you looked really, really closely, you could see a faint grey bar highlight all of the MC answers because of this, the professors were left with a dilemma. leave the results? (bound to get LOTS of class complaints because my class is whiny) throw out the quiz? (again more complaints and I would have been sad because it was a super easy grade booster if you studied-literally, test questions don't come any easier to answer!)

they ultimately decided to throw out 24 of the 30 scantron questions and leave the entire short answer/fill in the blank section. all in all, the exam grade is composed of 16 points and these were all easy questions😍

Had a great day at work today. Wasn't too terribly busy and I feel like I'm really starting to get everything. On top of that I got a free cat scratch post that was donated but couldn't be used by the humane society. My kittens love it already.

Woooooo got to help out on a trial for a new EBA vaccine on 357 cattle yesterday and today! And the best part? We're done!! LOL Preg checking, bleeding, shaving that one specific spot on the neck, and alcoholing and injecting 357 large, irritated animals isn't easy 🙄

Best part... b*tchy girl at work that started as a TEMP, ONE week ago, put in for some of the same days and tried to act like her shiz was more important than mine.... too bad I've been there 2 years BIOTCH and I get every day I want, PAID, while you get nothing! Buahahaha! Kharma is a biznitch! 😛 SUCK IT!

My little rave - I got to do a wetlab tonight on equine joint injections. It was fantastic. It was a chance to actually put into practice all the anatomical knowledge I've been trying to accumulate. 🙂

Since I had a rant about horrible, evil clients. I need to have a rave about the amazing good clients.

1. Lady with young dog who ends up being parvo positive. Very nice. Very understanding. Instantly took responsibility for both the dog with parvo and the puppy she has at home. She instantly went home and threw out all toys, cleaned her entire house. Then she brought in the puppy for his vaccine (he was a little overdue) and went to get the puppy tamiflu to hopefully help reduce the severity of the parvo should he get it. She was very patient while we searched to find this Tamiflu and very pleasant the entire time she was in the clinic while going through a stressful situation. I love clients like this.

2. Very nice family with a bulldog. Bulldog was very sick and we ended up diagnosing IMHA. They were on top of getting their pet checked out even with limited funds they found a way to really care and do their best to help out their pet. I am so glad we have payment plans for clients like this. They are absorbing a lot of information in a short time and have a lot of big decisions to make but are really doing a great job at trying to do what is best for their pet. This may not end up with a happy ending but at least they are considering all options and have been doing what they can without expecting any handouts and have been very grateful that we could offer them a payment plan.

That both of these pets get better quickly.

It was a nice contrast to have these two clients amongst the other not so nice ones.
