I haven't talked to Trematode in a while and haven't had much time to work on it. It's probably gonna be a while until it comes, so nobody needs to worry about that one.
My rave:
I thought I was coming back from Germany on May 31st and therefore miss my bf's birthday. He was already disappointed about me being in Colorado on our 1-year. And he might go back to Mexico soon, so I really didn't wanna miss that, but make it a huge thing for us.
I was just told that I fly on my birthday, which kinda sucks because I have to leave the house at 5am and pretty much miss the whole day, so no family etc besides whoever takes me to the airport. BUT, the next day is his birthday and I won't be missing it, which is much more important for me this year! I can't wait to tell him.

By that time, we should have our own house also, so it can be a house warming party and his birthday party at the same time or something like that. 🙂

I gotcha. I thought when you cook cream, that it affects you a lot less? Or am I making that up in my head? My best friend is deathly allergic to dairy (as in, I have stabbed her with epi pens when she was blue over a dozen times, and performed CPR at least 15 times 🙁). Her brother once flicked a Cherio at her head, and the left over milk from the cherio just hitting her forehead quickly made her throat close 😱. Nuts!
The other day I started my car and it sounded about 10x louder than normal. I took it to the shop. They found the problem, but they don't fix stuff like what's wrong with my car, so I was referred somewhere else. I dropped it off literally 30 minutes ago, found a message from them on my phone and called them back. The guy said it would be $40 for the part, so I asked how much for the labor. Apparently I heard wrong because it was $40 and some change total! I'm pumped!

One of the vet's I work for today almost made me cry. She knows I've been freaking out about whether or not to go to Glasgow because of money and variety of other things. She said that that part sucks but things seem to work themselves out and at the end of the day, she absolutely loves what she does so it's worth it. She went to Western so it's not like she has little in loans ( I think she said she had close to $300k) and that she's only been paying off the interest so far. Which actually kind of scared me a little but the fact that she is still happy and doesn't regret it at all is reassuring. Then we talked about a few other things and she mentioned how no matter what I do in regards to going this year or reapplying, she doesn't want me to give up because she thinks I have what it takes and will be an awesome vet, which she said she doesn't say about a lot of the students who intern at the clinic. I was pretty touched. If only the adcoms could see that.
Yes! I was super worried that it was going to cost a ton because this time last year I replaced the engine and I really did not want to see that investment go down the tubes.
Orca, that is a really great thing for her to say! I probably would've started crying lol. I do cry easily though...

Haha, I almost did really. As soon as you started saying "Orca, I know you're worried about money," I knew we were going to have a little heart to heart and that I would probably get emotional. And I cry a lot easier now than I used to...and over some stupid things too.
Congrats, PS! You know what's funny- you'd think your remaining classes would be easier once you know youre going to vet school. However, I had a major freak out before my exam. What if I effed it up and got a D in the class and ruined all those years of prep, not to mention my future?!?! (not that I ever had a D, but you get what I mean!)
My mother just rolls her eyes at me lol.

MLB Extra Innings.
I've had it for the last three seasons and promised myself once the horrors of today were over that I could call the cable company and have them sign me up for this season. I LOVE being able to watch all the Yankee games (takes me back to when I was a kid) and the rest of the teams that I follow. Although I have an allegiance in the American League I dabble in the National League like mad! Phillies, Brewers and Diamondbacks just to name a few. And my first game on the TV this year just happens to be opening day at Chase Field in lovely AZ with two of my favorite starting pitchers going at it... Ian Kennedy and Tim Lincecum. Additionally, I can't get enough of the guys who call the games for the DBacks... Daron Sutton and Mark Grace. They're actually the reason I started to watch the DBacks in the first place. They totally crack me up!
Almost forgot one of the best things about MLB Xtra Innings... LOCAL ads! I get to watch the NY Lottery ads with the Yankee games and the Jack In The Box ads out of AZ are always a riot. But, what I look forward to the most is that I get to see the Farm and Fleet ads and sing along with the Menards ads out of WI again!
And before nyanko opts to rain on my baseball parade with yet another sleep reference, there is an added bonus when I pick up the package this early in the season... NHL Center Ice for the rest of the regular season!!! The packages share channels in my region. 😀
And with that, I'm going to go my ice cream out of the freezer and watch the final innings of my first televised game of the year. Then, I'm going to sleep until I wake up. YAY!!!!

My parents and aunt are currently at the D-Backs game at Chase Fields (which the name should be changed back to BoB, it was a better name) and Mark Grace is awesome!!

I was originally gonna post this on the Rant thread, but it has since turned into a Rave... well sort of, but I'm trying to make the best of it 😀.
So I got shoved working this weekend for this lady I hate who called in yesterday, so since I offered to work this weekend (why not, its nice OT 🙂), my boss gave me a four day weekend next weekend!!! HOT DAMN!! 👍

My boyfriend has a 4-day weekend and left to go visit his family upstate on Friday afternoon. Leaving me allll alone this weekend - and I've got to spend a night with my aunt and uncle's dogs, who are cute but obnoxious.
The rave is that he leaves me adorable sticky notes with little love notes or cute sayings on them. They are ALL over the apartment, strategically placed (inside a case for a bottle of scotch, on the switch for the white noise machine in the bedroom, etc). It is absurd and adorable and I love it. Apparently he's left me 20 (according to the one I found inside the microwave). So far I've only found 7!
