Soon! He's really freaked out so I'm trying not to bother him.

Understood! But hope he chills soon. A bunny pic for Easter would be perfect! 😀

My husband finally took me to see Hunger Games! Now I just have to read the books. I just want to say that on the hotness scale Gale>>>>Peeta.

That's the way I read it in the book. I'm on 'team Gale' even with the obvious reasoning that put Peeta in position. SO have to see the film!!

I made my vaccine clinic $1,675 in an hour and a half. Yay!!! ( usually on holiday weekends $900 is a stretch for one clinic)

How much money did I make personally? $18 lousy dollars.

I have the best fiance ever. Right now I'm overnight pet-sitting (making a little more than $25 a day, considering I'm splitting 15 days with a friend that's not too bad). I hate being away from him and my fur babies (my dog gives me sad chihuahua eyes each time I walk out the door). However, he has been on top of the animals. The dog is getting fed and walked on time and the guinea pigs got a "garden salad" tonight for dinner, meaning he went out to my potted plants and picked off the ripe veggies and green leaves to make up a salad for them.

I have the coolest best friend ever...
The lanyard she bought me for my vet school congrats. Not too sure I actually want to use it and get it all nasty though 😳....
Is it weird that this is the second lanyard I've received as a congrats gift? lol

So my husband is at work today. Since he couldn't be here with us on Easter I took our dogs up to the firehouse to see him. He knew I was coming up there but not the dogs. He was so happy and the dogs of course freaked out when they saw him. It made me smile.

Aww how sweet 🙂

Emiloo - That is adorable! You have a GREAT friend there.

And Lissa - Well played with the husband. I'm sure that you made his day a million times over. Sounds like the dogs had a blast too!

My rave? This has been the first day in over two months that I haven't had something to worry or fret about. No work, no presentations or classes to prepare lectures for, no awful tests, etc... I gave myself a day off my ADD meds and have spent the day pretty much on my butt in front of the TV. Managed to watch five baseball games (5th is on currently), ate anything I darn well pleased (a piece of peach pudding cake is the caper of my evening), cuddled with my cat, and spent a little $$ on i-tunes (Of Monsters and Men, Gotye, and a couple of random singles). The only housework I did was laundry and it's not bothering me one bit. This is the most relaxed I've felt in weeks and it's amazing!!! 😀 Such a pity that tomorrow is the first of a 7-10 day stretch of work. I won't find out about 8-10 until next Friday. Oh well, right now I don't care! Yippee!!

So glad to hear you are finally relaxed and relieved! You deserve it! Enjoy!👍

I'm alive. That's my rave for the day.

Was heading back to Nova Scotia to spend time with my boyfriend and his family yesterday. Roads were bad from our recent bit of snow, but I've driven in multiple snow storms, I still have my winter tires and I was taking my time.

Well, I was on the road for about an hour (of a 5 hour trip), and my car started sliding on the highway. I managed to keep it on the road for a bit but eventually succumbed to the ditch. I ended up in the opposite ditch facing the wrong direction.

I'm lucky for several reasons. There was no oncoming traffic, the ditch wasn't super steep, there was no rock walls or guard rails, etc. The list goes on. When I came to realize my car was leaving the road, I thought for sure my car was going to flip, but it simply just spun around.

Some kind strangers stopped to help and pulled me out of the ditch. Both myself and my car came out with not so much as a scratch.

I consider this a rave!

I just had lunch with my roommate for vet school and we totally hit it off! Hi, if you're reading this! :biglove::hello:

Yay! That's awesome! 🙂. I found my roommate, but we still haven't found where we're living yet lol. I think the roommate is more important to get along with, than the place anyway. 😀

Seeing the boyfriend on Friday!!! 😀😀😀 I made a rant about my car issue- turns out that all that needed to be done was tightening the gas cap. Hopefully the light doesn't come back on!:xf:

I'm a little ashamed at the amount of discounted Easter candy I just bought from Rite Aid. Now I have an awesome stash with tons of marshmallow chocolate eggs!😀

haha I was just coming on here to talk about how much I bought at Rite Aid also!!!
I plan on putting it in my candy dish in my office, but most likely won't be sharing :meanie:
I better, I bought 7 bags of candy 😱
Why does Easter have to come right around the time we're all trying to shape up for summer? 😕

I bought 8, but 2 are for my bf. I will NOT be sharing mine. I need it to get through the rest of the semester. This is not conducive to operation lose 5 pounds before graduation. Meh.🙄

For real. I came home, put on my running clothes, found my shoes in the mess that's called my closet....and then had a reese's cup. And a peep. And a little egg with caramel in it. And a little packet of m&m's.

Fast forward two hours: I'm still in my running clothes and no run has happened. grrrrrr

But they sure were delicious 😀

I'm going home and attacking my Godiva Easter basket. I have a huge chocolate bunny calling my name.

Twwwwww

Oh twwwwww!!!

hahaha with candy wrappers all around you

Yeah I joked about it with the 6'5" 110lb kid behind the counter, but I guess its hard to understand my point of view when he has 0.02% body fat. :eyebrow:

Here's a fun story about easter candy (and I'm blaming this for why I went overboard at Rite Aid today 😀)
Yesterday I went and made baskets for the pups and the BF, and I saw a swiss chocolate bunny with almonds. Out of $116 of CRAP, it was the ONLY THING I bought for myself.............
I was also the ONLY THING that melted on the way home. I picked it up, and it was literally a plastic bag with chocolate juice at the bottom.... REALLY?!:annoyed::poke:
🙄

Congrats. I already had my vegas trip booked so I couldn't even try. I hope they are going to offer the bovine palpation class again. I want it!

Yeah, I def want that one too! I was looking at last years electives there are quite a few I kinda want to take. I'm crossing fingers for equine electives, since I know they're been changing a lot over there with clinicians leaving.

Ewww equine. You can have those.

Today I had my first run outside, and it was super beautiful! Then I went and saw my pony. I cleaned her up, braided her mane, and listened to my barn owner (retired reiner!) tell me fabulous stories about all the horses he's ridden and people he's known.

After a rocky few weeks... it's nice to have a day like today that just... felt so peaceful.

My boyfriend has an interview in my future vet school town on Friday. He found it and applied on his own and he didn't complain about the drive or ask me to spot him gas money. Maybe this might actually work out (the job AND our relationship)! I'm not getting my hopes up, but something is better than nothing!

👍😀

:xf: for him!!!

I get to meet with two vets tonight and I'm pretty excited about it. One is the president of the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine and the other one is the Atlanta Zoo Director of Veterinary Services. 😎

Hill's Pet Nutrition called me yesterday to offer me the job, at a significant higher starting salary than I anticipated...

While very tempting, I was able to decline to offer because I AM GOING TO VET SCHOOL!!!

Well congrats on two great accomplishments! 😀

One of the vets totally made my day today:

She had mentioned on Saturday that she was making deviled eggs for Easter... I LOVE deviled eggs. I implied to her that she was going to be bringing deviled eggs to me and today she brought in some deviled eggs... 😍

Its a small rave but at least it made me...😀

Sadly I did not get to meed the president of the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine. He had an emergency and couldn't come. But the Atlanta Zoo vet was very nice and had some great stories!

I might not get a puppy to raise this summer, but I was asked to take a poodle for two weeks. What poodle? The one I sooo fell in love with! Hell yea, I'm gonna take here!
😍
I would also be getting another poodle for six weeks. I think the handlers of both dogs are doing study abroad. And then a month after I'd be done with them, a litter of German Shepherds are coming. Very hard to get, but I was told I might have a chance due to having experience with them. So it might just all work out perfectly.

I also think I found a plan B in case vet school won't work out. I went to a meeting where a lady talked about KEMI. It's a racehorse internship in Kentucky. If I don't get accepted to vet school on my first try, I think I will apply to do one. If I like it, I would be able to do a second one without even having to apply again. Spring is about breeding and foaling, and fall is about breaking in horses and getting them ready to be sold. Apparently, a lot of people are offered jobs with the barns afterwards. So that would be an awesome backup!
