Hahah, oh I am aware. I won't be keeping this little beasty. She'll be getting a new home in a few weeks.

I had a friend who lived there and she loved it. VERY easy bike ride to campus, too!
 
Going to Coachella with my bf! Even better, my friend's mom is letting us stay in their condo across the street from the festival for free (normally they charge $2,500 for the weekend!!!). Hell. Yes.

That's amazing!!

Vet school is no longer my friend, but everything that isn't class is going super well. My SO and I are getting married in just over 5 weeks, our pastor is awesome (she is very much against the Sunday school answer, as she likes to put it - I am agnostic so I am totally into hearing her perspectives on things), I'm starting horseback riding lessons after we get married, I love the clubs I'm in, and my friends are just plain great people. I guess I'm saying that vet school is not my cup of tea, but life is still going, and going well!
 
Husband's team won the championship in their hockey division, AND husband scored the game winning goal!! Not too shabby for a defenseman!

Finals done! On to third year (but not before a hopefully awesome summer of pathology work and research)! My boyfriend and I have also decided on an apartment for next year and I'm getting sushi for dinner tonight. Pretty sweet day.

Having a good day 🙂

Only had 2 hours of class this morning.
Got an exam back and did wayyyy better than I did on the last one.
Nice long walk with the dogs, followed by tennis ball throwing (Well, I was attempting to pick up the balls so I could mow the lawn-- dog had different ideas!)
Worked with the pony for a bit- his usual slightly naughty self, but he has come so far in the past few months and it makes me proud. Went from having no ground manners and unable to be walked without a chain over his nose to walking like a gentleman, lunging in a halter, and riding walk-trot-canter with brakes that are almost TOO good!
Then out to dinner with one of my favorite people in the world. She had her transition ceremony this morning and is officially a fourth year, so we celebrated with mexican and margaritas!
Now, catching up on some TV shows and doing NOTHING 🙂
 
Boyfriend and I found out we got moved to the first floor apartment we want for next year! We won't have to go up and down stairs when we take the dog outside!
 
Hardest week of school = done

Sure, we have some finals left (including a pharm final that is most likely going to chew me into little pieces and spit me out), but ... meh. They're mostly one at a time from here til summer, and I can deal. This last week = really, really miserable. It didn't help that I apparently am/was fighting off some random virus and my throat feels like pirates are buckling swashes in it.

Boyfriend has to work 3pm to 11pm. Which means I get to spend all afternoon doing whatever I want (i.e. watch Grey's Anatomy and eat junk food!).

It's 88 degrees F today. 😍 I couldn't be happier! (and neither could my horse since I wimped out from riding in the heat! wimp.)

You are so lucky. I think where I got to school it was in the high ninetys, but I'm at home this weekend and it's over 100. Thank god for the pool in my backyard!
 
Our house offer was accepted! Now I just hope that the inspections will go well!

This is the hottest we have gotten and is pretty warm for NorCal in April. I thrive for temperature above 75 so I'm happy.
 
Graduation in 2 weeks and then I am going home for 4 MONTHS! 😀 I haven't been home for that long in 2 years! Can't wait to spend tons of time with my boyfriend and friends!

It was nice for a day. I like the nice sunny weather, but I burn like NO other. cold front coming to the bay area on Monday. I just can't do 90 in April

I was thinking the same thing. If it's this hot in April...... :scared: for June-August.......(I'm kind of a baby in the heat... you can layer for cold but can only take off so much.... ) And I burn too..... then turn white again and then burn and then turn white.......... so sunscreen is always in my arsenal and people make fun of me lol

Oh I feel your pain. I'm about as white as a person can get. I have to wear sunscreen every day it's sunny or I burn, even if I'm only in the sun for 5 minutes. And there is never any possibility of tanning. The only skin pigmentation I own is in my freckles.

My "tan" is basically taking the blinding out of my blinding white skin. If I don't wear sunscreen, I can feel the burning. It just sizzles. :scared:

My mom is helping with the down payment, but the house will be mine and my bf's. It's a bit rough between is right now, but we both think we can get through it. We're working on it! 🙂
