My favorite dog at work got adopted today! I'm a little upset that I didn't get to say bye but I'm so glad she found a nice home. She had a FHO and is still healing so it took her a long while to get adopted (six months). I'm going to miss her grumpy bull dog face.

I figured out how to get my results looking like there are supposed to for my honors thesis project yesterday. Also I found out my teacher was really nice on the last test we took and I got an 82 even though I was pretty sure I failed (she had multiple choice with multiple right answers and ended up giving everyone full credit if they got at least one of the right answers she she didn't prepare us for it).

Lol. I <3 Chanukah! So much better than Christmas (my friends would all be jealous in December when I was little..."You get 8 days of presents?!?!).

All we got was a silly welcome email. Which still caused me to jump up and down like a crazy person for a while.

We have a webpage with most everything for the incoming class. Definitely cool but less exciting than emails. True that they may also still be trying to fill the class. It looks like the OSU waitlist is still moving a bit (Nordicat got a call yesterday or the day before). I still want stuff!! Hehe.

I have an interview at the top referral center in the DC metro area!! The position I am interviewing for is in emergency and critical care (what I want to do my residency in)😍. So excited! They have 23 doctors (all specialists) and top of the line equipment!

Just got a call from my boss who said I will be on full time when I get back home. The reason I applied for the job was because she initially only had me working 22hrs/week. They really need me to take over for the tech that is leaving and are going to train me for her position. I really don't know what to do. I think it will have to come down to pay and hours.😕

Two raves: #1) I secured myself a summer job working at a lovely little vet clinic in the city. It's a small clinic with only one vet, so I'll be getting tons of hands on experiences. He does house calls as well and will be bringing me along with him. I've shadowed at larger clinics before and all I ever got to do was help restrain animals and do laundry. Finally a job in a small animal clinic!

I was working with a vet doing embryo transfer in dairy cows but I wasn't getting the hours I needed to pay my bills. So, I'm excited to have found something.

Rave #2) I had my mock interview and it went great. I was really nervous for it but it turned out I was very well prepared and actually felt comfortable sitting there and answering their questions. Hopefully, I can do as well for my real interview!

Honestly, though, they can hold off on financial aid as long as they want. I really don't want to see that $80k price tag until absolutely necessary. I would love info about orientation or my big sib, though 🙂

Okay, I am glad that you mentioned the big sib program. I thought I was the only one who was anxious to know who my big sib will be! 😀 I know quite a few people in the class of '15, so I am wondering if it will be one of them or a random stranger. But honestly, everyone that I have met from that class is amazing! (Although a few of them are a little intimidating)

Skipped my lunch hour and got off earlier. Stopped to eat at the korean restaurant. They messed up my ramen order and because it wasn't exactlY my order they made a second ramen for me. I ate the majority of both. Feel fat, but have a warm belly

I only ask because the bartender there was pretty cool. Our flights were cancelled for 7 days in a row and every time we came back from the airport, we would stop in and he would laugh at us. We also got to see him pick up an old guy and throw him out for harassing me

The worst part was that we had to keep going back and forth to the airport everyday or we would lose our spot in "line" and the line included every single person flying in and out of Europe 🙄

Not exactly a rave, but I feel the need to share anyway.

Just vaccinated my 40 lb dog with a 25 gauge needle. (Side note: This dog delights in trying to eat most other dogs and rough housing with those he 'deems worthy')

And he cried like a little baby as soon as he felt the poke. SUCH a princess sometimes. 😍

Meanwhile my neurotic 25 lb sheepdog wagged her tail the whole time while pretending to play dead.

Nice excuse 😉.
This recipe is similar, so I'm sure you can just substitute pancake mix for the dry ingredients they use for theirs. Also, I candied the bacon on mine .

You'd probably have to add sugar to the dry mix too...
I will type my recipe up sometime soon... remind me if I forget!

awesome!! i'm leaving grenada in 2.5 weeks, what else am i supposed to do with an entire box of mix other than pancakes (which are of course delicious, and my go-to dinner if i cant decide what i want haha). it wont keep over the summer, i'd come back to a solid block (the humidity here is ridiculous)

Laughing so hard! My dog is super vocal. People always thinks she is growling, but it is more like strong worded excitement. So I am sitting here on my laptop and she has her frisbee. She does her talking and I decide to mimic her. We just spent 5 minutes going back and forth. So ridiculous!

Awesome 😀. My dog does a perfect Chubaka and I have now trained her to do it on command. I say "Chubaka" and she "broobroobroo"s or however you could possibly begin to spell out that noise 🙄
