Thai curry (panang gai) and veggie spring rolls...so good...I can't stop eating it.

EDIT: Yep, ate all of it, now my belly hurts. Worth it. No regrets.

Woooo wedding is done and over and we were approved for a home loan!!!! Realtor set up a few viewings for us ... Getting excited 😀

I'm driving to NY this weekend to be there for it! Got my hair cut, eye brows done, nails done... I'm ready! Lol
 
I have a sort of interesting situation that I'm pretty happy about.

My UG institution is a private university in NC.

My mom is debating moving back with my dad, who's working in WA (they aren't divorced or anything, but the economy sucked so my dad went where a job was).

So, I may get to pick whether or not I want to be a WA resident or a NC resident.

Which is pretty much like picking my IS. |D

It's so weird how that works.
 
Watched the movie 300 on the tour coach today. 😀 I will never get tired of the 6-packs......Headed to the actual site of the Spartan/Persian battle tomorrow! Now I just have to buy something Leonidas related when we are there.
 
My internship at the farm animal rescue is going really well! Even though I've owned a bunny for 9 years who's had a lot of health problems I've still learned a ton about veterinary care for rabbits (as well as the other animals!) I'm definitely thinking more about specializing in "exotics" (I never really know if rabbits fit under that but since most vets who do rabbits also do exotics so I think it'd be under that umbrella? Although my rabbits old vet who just retired only did cats and rabbits.) since they just have so much interesting stuff going on.

Did they state a reason why?

You may want to try another bank. Different banks have different cutoffs when it comes to credit score (or lack thereof). Or you may have been asking for too much money; in that case, as awful as it sounds, you could take two loans from different banks.

But I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to finance so I very well could be wrong, but it's worth a shot.

You don't need a private loan. You're guaranteed $40,500 a year by the government. Just for filling out the FAFSA. Assuming you aren't a Canadian student which I can't see from my phone 😳

Edit: noticed you're Dublin. Do overseas students not get federal funding?

I get federal funding. And I definitely got more than 40,500 last year... that would not even cover tuition for me. 🙁

My house permanently smells like pickling vinegar. My fiancé is a pickling king. We've never had less than 18 pickled eggs in our house. And eggs are only the beginning 🙄

I'm Canadian, so we don't have the same loan options up here..... In fact, our student loan options suck the bag

My mother has finally caved and is letting me bring my mattress/box spring to school with me rather than buying a cheap uncomfortable one! Since I'm sure getting a good night's sleep will be extra important for the next four years, I can't tell you how excited I am and how much I love my mattress, haha.
 
Bf's mom is going to be on 20/20 tonight! She's so excited! I'm exited for her because she has worked very hard for this opportunity.
 
As of today, I am 3 weeks away from my last day at work. The boss also bought lunch for the whole staff today as a sort of "congratulations for getting into school" so that was pretty nice. 🙂

And, it is 1 month until orientation begins! 😱:scared::wow:😀

I have earned my first veterinary experience hours a couple days ago and I am totally stoked to be making progress towards my vet school dream!
After calling and calling numerous amount of clinics, one clinic finally allowed me to shadow! I start off shadowing for a day though to get a feel and to see if it's appropriate for me but I am still excited!:soexcited:
 
Stepped on the scale today for the first time since I moved home in April, and then had to run upstairs to use my mom's scale to double check the number. If the two scales are to be believed, I've lost about 20 pounds in less than four months! 😱

I'm completely confused because it doesn't feel like I've lost weight at all. I knew I'd lost a couple pounds and gotten in better shape thanks to krav classes and a ton of yard work. But I don't look or feel thinner. Maybe it's just because I gained a bunch of weight last year, so now that I'm back down in my usual weight range I just feel normal? No clue what's going on, but YAY anyway! 😀
 
At party cove, got 9 boats tied together! Drinking beer ( and shine 😀 ) soaking up the sun on my last Saturday in TN!

:highfive: Congrats! I was so excited to lose all the weight I gained first semester of vet school, it always feels awesome.

Thanks! It's a little strange, but definitely still very exciting! If I can lose another ten pounds before cent school starts, I'll be thrilled. 😀
 
Parents threw a congratulations party for me and my sister's fiance (for vet school for me, and he got into a PhD program) before I leave for school. A bunch of family and friends came. Couldn't have been better 🙂

ETA- forgot to say that we are Surprising him!!! He has no idea I'm going to be there!!!! Ahhh so excited!!
 
Went shopping for my coating ceremony outfit today. My aunt enlisted the opinions of everyone in the women's dressing room. Apparently the outfit looks great! :laugh:

I have this really pretty, floaty, sheer black skirt that's about 2 inches above the knee in the front and tapers down to the floor in the back. The top is a black, orange, and reddish floral print with a ruffly front and cap sleeves.

I wasn't sure about the top, but everyone else in the fitting room liked it so I went with it. :laugh:

Im so stinking excited... We are still 5 hrs away 🙁 on I-90 in Pennsylvania.. So much dang construction and traffic 🙁 just get me to NY already!!!!
 
Waiting for my flight back home from Comic-con. I had a FANTASTIC time and I REALLY want to be one of those people who come yearly. I will update my blog later about everything (I'm just SO exhausted right now... it is a big marathon of little sleep and food that is bad for you). I have an overnight flight back home and get in at 6am, wow!

Oh my gosh I can't even wait and he isn't even my guy :laugh: Don't you dare post pictures without a warning first, I start sobbing uncontrollably when people post those reunion pictures/videos.

Had an A- in my Trig class. Professor counted attendance as a grade so after he put that in I dropped to a 78 C. 😱 When I turned in my final he asked me why I had been absent so much. I didn't go into detail but I basically told him that I just had a rough spring/summer and needed time to grieve. I didnt tell him this, but I taught myself through the entire semester. I was having a very hard time learning the class content with his sporadic teaching style. I didn't know he was going to count attendance so driving 30 minutes to sit in class and daydream about sad things for 2 hours just wasn't appealing. I never got below a B on any tests. He seemed understanding, but told me he couldn't bend the rules just for me. Bummer, but I understand.

I just looked at my transcript and I recieved a B for the class. 😀

That sucks! Did you know his policy and the impact it would have on your grade at the beginning of the semester? I wrote a passionate paper in my first English class about how I hated classes with attendance factored in the grade. Bugs me to no end -- except for the easy classes where you can just go to lecture and get A's on tests without having to study much.

No, I did not. But I am honestly just happy with the B, considering I was anticipating a C.
