Just wanted to share my RC experience.

I found that using the Search and Destroy method was the most effective. I made a quick outline of each paragraph (barely reading it) and then moved on tothe questions. Anytime I saw a general idea question I immediately skipped it and returned if I had time.

For more abstract passages however, I always read through it carefuly

That's what I did basically with the outline thing. Although I didn't have much general idea questions. Also, read the question first and then read the article/outline. That way when you encounter the question, you'll save some time/save a question's worth, then resume outlining.

My problem with the RC was that I would get very distracted with my nerves during the practice tests ("You don't have a ton of time! Make sure you are paying attention! Oh look, you just forgot the entire paragraph you just read, dummy..."). THAT kind of internal dialogue.:bang:

The best advice I heard on this site was to go into the test and look at the passage as if it is something you are reading for fun. It sounds silly but it really worked. When I was focused on learning each passage for my own enjoyment, rather than with an end goal of answering stressful test questions, my score SHOT up. My practice test scores in that section were around 290-300, but the real one was a 380.
