RC and Bio

Two quick things. Can search and destroy more or less work for RC? its going well with topscore. For Bio...some of the topscore questions are worded odd and i miss them for stupid reasons. Will just reviewing the stuff get me ready for my test this week? is the DAT bio similar to topscore? Thanks

It depends on your passage. Search and destroy may work but if the passage ends up asking you questions that are based on tone or inferred then search and destroy won't work. From what I hear the piano and FRAP passages will require you to actually comprehend the passage. For Topscore search and destroy is all you need but on the DAT it may not all be like that.

The best is to just use 5 minutes of your time to read and comprehend the passage. Get a mental note on how it's written. Combine this with your search and destroy method and you're guaranteed to get at least a 20.

I went over the destroyer for bio and you're right, some questions are worded odd and when you look at the answer you smack yourself cause you already know it. Just do a quick review over Cliff's.

I feel like search and destroy is like walking around lost in a maze without a map. You just guess and look around.

I dunno about 5 minutes...but i recommend taking 8-10 (10 min for the longer harder passages) and taking notes on key words that jump out at you.

But it's really up to what you are comfortable with, if you feel confident with your scores on RC using Search and Destroy, then keep doing it.

I felt like the real DAT Bio section was more difficult than TopScore

I feel like some of the topscore questions are poorly worded. I'll just try to comprehend as much bio as possible in the next few days!!
Ill try to comprehend some for reading, if its the case that it asks you what this passage is inferring and not just facts then comprehension is key
