Hello, I am looking for more RC practice tests. I would appreciate if anybody provides me with the RC sources which are out there.
I do have the DAT Cracker Reading, 10 testes, and I also know about the GODFREY TESTPREP SOFTWARE. I am terrible in RC and want to get as much sources as there to practice. Please don’t hesitate to give me your tips!
Thank you

I was extremely worried about the RC too as I suck at it given that I haven't really read a book since Middle school (sad? lol).
I took my OAT yesterday, going to take my DAT in 2 days.
I usually always got under the average on the OAT which would be equivalent to around 15-17 but I ended up getting a 100% on the section. It depends on what reading material you get. Mine were very interesting to me so it wasn't that difficult. In fact, I was surprised at how fast I finished.
Just keep your mind from wandering off.

Also, what's your strategy?
It took my a while to find a working strategy but I eventually boiled it down to reading 1 (long) or 2 (short) paragraphs and answering as many as I can while skipping the ones I don't know. That way, the material will be fresh in your mind and by the time you get to the end, you will be able to answer all the inference questions.

Good job.. i dn't think I found a good strategy yet! I glance the questions real fast and keep in mind the ones that are stand out to me, and then I read the passage and map it. If I see anything related to the questions I read those parts in dept. then answer the questions using the map. But this takes more time. I Hope to do it faster as I practice. What materials did you use? Good luck on the DAT and Let me how you do it.

CDR is right on the money. Its a little harder than the real thing as you use the last 4~5 tests, only because each passage has 21-22 paragraphs. The real DAT is a little shorter and doesn't have as many tone questions

I tried the whole mapping thing...didn't work out for me. I spent too much time mapping and most of the info I wrote down were either too vague or too specific and didn't refer to any of the questions. Try the method I used, it should work pretty well given that you practice it for a couple days. You should get used to it within the second day.
I used a variety of materials. A lot of Kaplan, some Barron, and also went to the library and used the ACT and PCAT. They're both different but all you need is to get your mindset to remember information long enough to answer the text.

RC isn't something you can magically improve in a matter of months. What most of us don't realize is that we all have the capability to do really well but we just don't have the proper mindset.

You need to find a method that fits you. First time when I practice for Crack DAT Reading, I was using several different methods. I am a bad reader as well, but for Crack DAT Reading, I basically just read 3 paragraphs a time. Then looking at the questions about 4-5 at a time, and see what I can answer from reading the 3 passages. Then continue this until you finish your passage. You should at least get 50% of the answers correct by just doing this method. And then you can go back and answer the other questions base on memorization/search and destroy. ~50 percent right will get you probably a 16.

Is English your second language??? Get crack the DAT reading. In addition, use search and destroy.
