Hello All~
I am new here, but very eager to get started!

Does anyone have any advice to get through the RCT quickly and efficiently?
~I read my first passage today (and timed it). Not only was I blown away by the content, but the amount of time it takes to effectively read and comprehend (no pun intended) this material presented quite a challenge.
~No joke, it took me 46.14 min to read and answer the (17) questions for 1 passage, and still managed to miss 3.

Any tips and tricks would be much-ly appreciated! Please let me know what works/(ed) for you!

What does your RCT stand for? I initially though you were talking about Root Canal Therapy

Just keep reading and reading, practice and practice. There's really nothing else you could do for RC.

If it took you 46 minutes for 1 passage.. I would say you have a lot to work on.

Maybe you should try to utilize Search and Destroy method rather than just reading the passage thoroughly.

Good luck.

Thanks! I know, 46 mins. is way to long!!

What NOT to do:

My advisor suggested that as you are reading the passage, you should write-it out like you are taking notes from a book to be tested on. I did this in my 46 minute passage and ended up with 3 full pages of hand written notes. The only good thing about this technique, is that I didn't have to return to the passage to find my answers -they were ALL right there... However, I have learned that this is very wasteful! I do NOT recommend this for anyone!
