Hey guys so I ended up applying late this cycle (second week of october) the week after I got my mcat scores because I figured, why not?

I'm just not starting to realize how late it really was and am regretting having applied to so many schools. I feel like I should have only applied to a few and saved most for next cycle just in case. I was wondering how bad does re-applicany look? Assuming I didn't get in to any of the 20 or so schools I applied, am I at a disadvantage if I go to apply again June of next cycle? Thoughts? Thanks

I did the same thing, except I applied Oct 31st. Received 2 interviews--didn't get in. Reapplied basically to all the same places, received 1 invite (not at either of the 2 places that gave me an invite previously) and was accepted. Make sure you have a good plan as to what you are going to do with the possible year off--start applying to research positions, etc now as a fall back. And if you don't get in this year, make sure you submit your application on the very day it opens next year.

It won't be a problem, but you will be asked in interviews "how have you improved since your last application?"

Nope.

. . .
Nope.

Goro, you know full well that there are schools that don't consider reapplicants in the same way as first-time applicants.

Some do, some don't. My doesn't... and I don't have a database of those that do. That said, I've seen plenty of posts these forums where people were in the exact same conundrum as the OP...a late application. Upon re-app nice and early the next year, they got in. Hence, the logic of my first post.
