Hello All, I am very nervous about this application cycle. Last year I applied I did not have enough credits to obtain my degree on time, only had 1 science LOR and 1 dental LOR and the dentist was a periodontist. my personal statement was terrible, and My G.P.A was a 3.0 Overall and a 3.1 Science. and my DAT scores were a 19 AA 22 TS 24 bio 22 orgo 19 GC 18 RC 18 PAT and a 14 QR :/ I suck at math I know..

This year I have I have gotten a 3.8 my last winter semester, I have been volunteering at a free dental clinic in Detroit for over 50 hours now which allows me to have a lot more hands on experience and allowed me to realize how much I wan to be a dentist, I have started a new organization called the Global Dental Brigade in which we travel to Honduras facilitating dental treatment, I am president of an organization called Rebuilding Together which fundraises money renovates homes for low income and disabled homeowners in the city of Detroit, I have a new revised personal statement which is 100 times better than my last, I am shadowing another dentist for over 150 additional hours (500 in total with my volunteer hours), I have 4 Science Letters and two Dental letters, and I am studying to retake my DAT in order to boost up my GC, PAT, RC, and QR and hopefully get up to a 24 AA and a 24 ts which I believe is completely attainable bc I pretty much know everything. I am meeting with a dental school tomorrow to speak about what they would like to see from me. (any tips on what I should talk about with the admissions director?) I just am very nervous about the whole situation and don't want to waste the last of my science letters on this cycle if I wont get in. I feel like a lot of people are harsh when it comes to judging weather you can get into dental school, I am looking for friendly advice. Thanks everyone and have a great day.
