I've noticed that it is recommended to request new references but realistically, what are the odds of the admin overlooking that area? I've improved on my GRE as well as my chemistry grades from Cs to As. I know I wouldn't hurt to reach out to get a new reference since it could be added later one once PTCAS is submitted, but I was just curious. Thanks and good luck everyone!

I think the only reason to use new references would be if you can get better recommendations this time around. If you've been working with your old references since last cycle and they can say a whole lot more about you now, then I'd submit a rewrite.

I used 2/3 of the same references the second time around. The only one I changed was I had the PT who I did more hours with do the last one.

Last year one school told that my PT LOR was not good and suggested to get a new one. The school did not even invite me for an interview last year. I reapplied with 2 new PT references. (my other stats did not change much, maybe GPA improved by 0.5 or something like that...). This year the same school invited me for an interview and then accepted me. So I would say do change you LOR if the school tells you to. Good luck!
