Not for the common app but some schools do have the opportunity for a re-app essay in their supplemental

Yeah there is a little part asking what has changed since the last time you applied. I also talked about it motivating me more and making me even more passionate in dentistry and leading me to do a lot of awesome things to strengthen my app.
