Hi! I am a second-time applicant. I felt that my application was strong last year, but I made the mistake of submitting secondaries to only 2 schools thinking I could get into an in-state program. I only received one interview and am currently waitlisted. I am planning to apply very broadly this year. I would really appreciate your help with creating a school list.

Demographics: 22 year old Indian female
State: GA
Major: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Schools previously applied to: Emory, MCG

Stats:
GPA: 4.0
MCAT: 515
Volunteer: 300 hours
Shadowing: 200 hours
ECs:
President of school chapter of medical relief nonprofit
4 years of research at same lab, currently have a manuscript in progress, two poster presentations
Hospice volunteering for 2 years
Nonmedical volunteering for 10+ years
Tutoring
Currently working in a university research lab

Current school list:
MCG (currently waitlisted)
Emory
Morehouse
Mercer

Albert Einstein
Boston
Case Western
FAU
Hofstra
Duke
George Washington
Keck
Mayo
MUSC
Ohio State
Renaissance Stony Brook
Brown
USF Morsani
UAB
UC Davis
UCLA
UCSD
UCSF
University of Colorado
University of Florida
University of Miami

@Goro and @Faha, I would really appreciate your advice!

As you're in your second cycle, and have lost a year of clinician salary, consider a few DO schools.

Doesn’t UCSF heavily favor CA residents? What would be this Applicant’s hook?

Thank you so much! Would you suggest any DO schools in particular?

Nope; it only seems that way due to the high number of qualified candidates in CA. I suspect that they will like the OP's service ECs
