I am a re-applicant, current post-bac student. I heard that classes for reapplicants dont count after 5 or 7 years? I asked a USC admissions counselor and he said that usc doesn't have a time limit, but some other dental schools might. anyone have any useful info? also, how long is ur DAT score good for? I also heard it's only 2 years, but I havent seen any info on any websites. Thanks!

LLU has a 5 year rule for prereq. Do a search on this forum and you'll see a pretty crazy thread about that.

thx, i'll keep searching bc im havin a hard time finding it. when you say 5 years, does that mean from the time that you took it or from the time that you graduated? because 5 years from the time you took it would only be 1 year after graduation (if you graduated in 4 years).

As for DAT scores, every school is going to be different. Unforunately, you're probably going to have to contact every school you plan to apply to check. Some are 2 years, others are 3 or even 4 years.

UNC also has a 5 year pre-rec rule

I took my gen chem, physics , and math pre-reqs in 1991 & 1992. I never retook those classes.

I now have 3 acceptances.

i haven't checked into the classes thing. but i did look into DAT scores for the ~15 schools i'll be applying to. almost all want it taken within 2 years (i assume from the application deadline). tufts i believe says 3 years.
