I am re-applying to DO schools. I'm going to re-apply to the schools that interviewed me and waitlisted me (my MCAT im sure held me back from an acceptance)

However, what about the schools that I heard nothing from? Sure, my MCAT might have held me back from some, but a few schools had an MCAT average within my range yet I didn't hear anything at all. Should I reapply to those schools or just accept that theres something about me they just dont like?

It will be in your self-interest if you were to contact the Admissions deans at the schools you were wait listed at, and ask for feedback on how you can improve your chances.

If you applied to schools and you were autorejected, then there is indeed something in your packet that they didn't like. Maybe your stats were really on the borderline of acceptable? Most schools will go fromt he top down in trying to choose who to interview.

In re-applying to schools that you were waitlisted at, but ultimately rejcted, you'll need to explain why you're a better candidate this time around.

If your MCAT is an issue, then maybe it's a good thing to re-take it????

Why did you put your status as medical student? Also, when did you apply last cycle? Did you ask the schools why you were wait listed or rejected? What did you improve on the past year? You need to answer these questions before anyone can give you advice.

Yes, I do plan to retake them MCAT. My application is solid other than my MCAT. It will be my 3rd attempt.

I did ask a few schools. One said to improve MCAT score and get DO shadowing experience (which I already had btw, they I guess werent paying attention.) and the others havent got back to me just yet.

and i changed my status to pre med lol woops.

Im just confused because I applied to schools that had an MCAT average in my range. Some schools interviewed me, some didn't.

If your MCAT is in the range of the averages of the recent matriculating classes (and your GPA isn't pushing the minimums) I would think there is something else that is holding up your application from being interview quality.
I would recommend up-ing your clinical experiences as they suggested (this can be a huge problem for admissions to see as lacking) and consider whether your personal statement may need revamping.
