I have a C minus in a pre-req class (gen chem 2) and was wondering if it was a good idea to retake this class right after the MCAT (which i take august 15th)? Will this class be pretty easy after having just studied hardcore for the MCAT?

Has anyone ever tried this?

In the time since I took this pre-req class three years ago, I have taken Achem, Pchem, and Biochem and am pretty confident my chemistry knowledge has gone up and I could get atleast an A (-) minus in this class.

Ive done the math and this could improve my GPA by .05 points for DO school applications.

Is this a good idea?

i wouldnt count on the class being easy b/c you have just studied for the MCAT. chemistry is such a very small portion of the test, you will cover WAY more stuff in your gen chem class.

that being said, since youve taken achem, pchem, and biochem and you say you feel confident about retaking the course and getting an A, i'd say go for it. just make sure you work hard.
